DIY Side Mirror Delete & Door Hole Cover for Cybertruck

I went with the full mirror delete nearly a year ago and have never looked back. Once you learn the scan and use the OEM sensors, it’s just superior. And safer. IMO 3rd party add-one just complicate things and detract.

Battery Extended Warranty coming from Tesla (for coverage beyond 8 year factory warranty)

A friend had a 2020 Model-X battery suddenly fail. It was completely replaced within 5 days with one with better specs.

Battery Extended Warranty coming from Tesla (for coverage beyond 8 year factory warranty)

Meh, I’ll save the $$ now and when the day comes that justifies battery replacement, I’ll buy a new (and likely upgraded) one.

Recall: Cybertruck Offroad Light Bar on 6,200 vehicles (recall notice attached)

I took mine to 132 mph five times a couple weeks ago. I did notice a bit of wind noise and the cantrails were buzzing.

Beast owner says AWD is the MVP!

In aerospace MVP stands for minimum viable product.

Epic Fail! - Cyberbeast - Tires shot at 6251 miles!!!

I have 41,000 on my ATs. Rotated them at 6,500, then at 40,000. I think a lot of people get unnecessary wear by doing hard scrubbing turns on rough surfaces while parking. I stopped using auto park because it did that so much.

Cybertruck Adventure Log: Trying to Be the First (documented?) EV Through the WA-BDR

I’m surprised nobody commented on the first post about being towed out if he ran out of charge.

    Park Assist gone?

Mine works, I just don’t use it as much as I used to as it does too much tire scrubbing for my liking. I’ve got over 40,000 miles on my OEM ATs and I have a friend whose wife does a lot of tire scrubbing getting into and out of their perpendicular garage. His ATs were bald after 10,000 miles.

Starlink mini mount strapped down behind display screen — LATEST on what is working for me on my biz road trip

I just replaced my oversized black shower cap cover (to eliminate windshield reflections) for my Starlink mini with this silicone cover available from Amazon for a few bucks. Nice upgrade. Starlink Mini Protective Case... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FG2TC29L?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

FSD drove into a post at supercharger in Rochester WA

Usually these poles are installed to keep folks from backing into more costly infrastructure. FSD supervised works fine for parking but it still needs supervision.

Teslas will now recommend FSD when lane drift or driver sleepiness/drowsiness detected

Ever get tired and stop and walk around the car or do jumping jacks and a few minutes later you’re just as tired? Then you finally trade with your spouse and now you sit in the passenger seat wide awake (and not because her driving is scaring you.) I’m convinced that it’s easier to stay awake...

Wireless Charging not coming to Cybertruck (says lead engineer Wes Morrill)

I’ve never had any interest in inductive charging at home. It can’t be as efficient as wired, therefore more expensive and takes longer. Plus after seeing how hot my phone gets doing inductive, I’ve got no desire to heat my garage or burn it down.

USB Flash Drive Upgrade / Replacement in Glovebox (to Increase Memory Storage Capacity) -- How-to DIY

Does the average dash cam/sentry user need this upgrade? I got the alert that my OEM drive was full just prior to one year.l of ownership. Simple button push to reset it all.

FS CB Cant rail recall and lightbar install

I got the email and selected the nearby Costa Mesa SC for doing the work. I also added a few things like the leaking tonneau (right front like most everyone else), a rear passenger seat belt that never wanted to retract unless you guided it, and foggy windshield cameras that would occasionally...

Fort Worth to Ruidosa NM trip. Lesson learned from fried CCS charger adapter

Thanks for sharing that story. I’ve had to work around the lack of superchargers in the Ruidoso area.

Does it bother anyone else when people assume the Cybertruck is being “given away”?

I’ve only driven 40,000 miles in the last year but so far have seen ZERO CT rear enders. No front enders or side enders or any CT accidents for that matter.

Does it bother anyone else when people assume the Cybertruck is being “given away”?

Just look at the CT’s headlights and you’ll discover there’s more to illumination than the area of the lights. Have you figured out the lux of the CT’s high intensity LED tail light vs conventional bulb tail lights?
