No, when you pause it it doesn’t pause at that moment but end of cycle. You do have the option to change to a 10GB plan for $50/mo which works for occasional short uses (it’s about 1 day worth of use).
Exploring around the Owens Valley with a stop at Dirty Socks Hot Spring. (It may have been a cool place to hang out at in 1930 but the water is now putrid and disgusting).

I don’t inflate the backrest as it takes up too much room and sits me too upright.
Exactly. I spent the weekend in the Mojave desert and got blown onto the shoulder several times because the crosswinds exceeded the FSD’s authority. I, too, found I could keep a continuous “nag” pressure on the steering to keep it in the lane but that was more annoying than just driving manually...
It certainly worked but I put some inflatable pillows under the part closest to the seat back to help level it. I ended up getting an inflatable mattress that fit perfectly and was more comfortable and collapsed much smaller and stored under the seat.
I have the window blackout curtains and put a thin opaque cloth between the roof Sun shade and the glass as needed to block out street lights. I keep my frig/freezer in the truck bed and don’t worry about little tonneau leaks. Works great!
Yes. I agree about the pillow being unnecessary and detracts from the usable space but thankfully it uses a separate chamber so I keep it deflated and let it hang down between the seat and the door where it functions quite well as a dust/dirt flap. If you’re 5’6” you’ll be quite comfortable...
Not for me, I’d feel I was in a hole and it would be more laterally confining (even if I took the underseat storage out but camping is when I need that the most).

I used this until someone came out with the inflatable one. I sleep in the other direction (head behind pax seat) and have a drivers profile that I named “Camp Mode” that runs the driver’s seat...
Every time I have to replace the FJ windshield they also had to replace the overhead trim piece. Stock was white and cost something like $150. I had a special edition with a metallic black top that they wanted $750 for a properly matched piece. I did that once, then went with the skunk look...
I discovered that I can usually force a lane change on FSD by holding the signal down. It also seems to speed up those occasionally agonizingly long changes.
One think I’ve found handy to force the route you want is to disable the online rerouting to save time option on the nav page (or else put a large value in it). I had to do this recently in Norrh Carolina where I wanted to take backroads. Sometimes the route option wouldn’t present itself unless...
I’m on another extended cross-country road trip in my beast. After a short night and an early 04:00 start I stopped to supercharge. I was fiddling with my phone and the app not only froze, the entire phone froze. Nothing worked so I powered it down and promptly fell asleep in the driver’s seat...
