Yep. It sucks. Bay Area CT hate is intense, especially around Berkeley. Usually middle fingers and smart ass comments but nothing physical at least. Would I feel comfortable parking it near campus on a regular basis? Hard to say.
Bummer. Looks like the Cybertent is really the best option unless you want to go w/ big over-the-vault frame mounted RTT which will kill your efficiency.
Got it. So we’re looking for 38” wide and 8” tall, right? Unfortunately it looks like the leading brands (Roofnest, Thule, and iKamper) do not have anything under that 10” tall target. Bummer. FWIW, those tents all cost more than the tesla tent.
This is interesting. Would love to see if anyone can find an RTT that’s not as thick when folded. OP, which model tent are you using right now so we can look up the specs? Wondering if there might be another manufacturer out there with something thinner. Maybe Roofnest?
I’ve owned an AWD with cyber wheels and AT tires for 15k miles. Tried an AWD with core and AS - and it was significantly quieter which isn’t too surprising I suppose.
Anyone else notice on Tesla’s configuration page that a CB with core wheels (and all season tires) is marked at 320 mile range while an AWD with core wheels is at 325 miles? In comparison, with the Cyberwheels (and all terrain tires) it’s 301 miles vs. 315 miles. No idea how accurate the...
