40%. The FSD versus not-FSD correlates almost exactly with me by myself in de truck versus with my wife as passenger. She doesn’t like the idea of not controlling the car by a human. I had her agree to use it at some moment in time, and exactly the first ride after FSD swerved aggressively and...
Did four short drives since this download, all short 7mile/15-ish minutes local rides. Except for the popup I noticed only one quirk: navigation choices. These short drives (same start and end points, two times vise versa) have multiple “almost equal distance/time” route possibilities. Previous...
Status update: I went for the Hankook ION HT, 275/65/20
Ordered today at America‘s Tire (5/2), will arrive around 5/9, installation early in the week of 5/11.
Total for four tires, installation, balancing, etc. before taxes and fees $1085, including (CA, SanJose) tax $1,186.43
I did not...
Is the Lemonde FSD rate depending on the state you live in? When I checked online it did not offer it. Early March, Bay Area, California. The standard rate resulted in a cost per month very close to Tesla, for 1500 miles per month, 18K/year.
I did something similar during an off-road trip and while there are no visible scratches on the Stainless Steel, my mirror housing did not escape scratch-less. Yours?
“it is a truck”
Looks like Gemini didn’t take price into account. If the Hankook is as good as the LTX, only a little less durable, the price difference makes more than up for that.
and I do not understand that the Pirellis are “best” as they are same price as the LTX, but more expensive as the Hankook, and far...
Thanks everyone for responding.
My take-away:
There is no simple setting in the car WiFI that “splits” traffic into the (massive) data up/down loads versus (just little) navigation, entertainment traffic. That would be a very useful feature I would think, also for the “premium connectivity”...
Starlink roam has two levels. A 50GB for $50 or an unlimited for $165. I want to stay below 50GB, since I use it only a few times each month, no use for unlimited data. And when I don’t expect it to use in a month I deactivate for that month upfront and pay only $5.
Correct. My concern is not the Navigation data, but all “other” data that Tesla up/down loads. If not on cellular, and not on home WiFi, can I stop it from using Starlink WiFi? But still have it used for Navigation?
I recently got a Starlink mini and when going into an area with no cell reception I used it with my iPhone and iPad, works great.
Of course the Tesla maps/routing also doesn’t work in those Places. Googling about it I read several warnings that when you connect the car to the Starlink wifi, it...
Thanks for all the responses.
It sounds like a decision between a 20% range reduction (Michelin) versus an additional new set of tires: Pirelli 25K miles (for me two years) , Michelin 50K+ miles, replace after four years. Although range reduction of 20% sounds an awful lot from just tires, but...
I saw this question in another thread, alas with no answer. Since I have the same issue/question, putting it in an explicit thread.
Choice between the Pirelli Scorpion OEM tires versus the Michelin Platinum tires?
I have an August 2024 FS AWD, with 22K miles, original tires. Picture below...
How do you post a link to an X post with video?
There is one video I saw that showed the “FSD activation tutorial and quiz” that the drivers in the Netherlands have to follow through before they can activate FSD. Full of warnings about FSD Supervised is not full autonomous and the driver is...
Does anyone here follow the FSD rollout in The Netherlands?
There is some confusion which sub-version from 14 it is, latest comment I saw was 14.2.2.5
The “training/test” video people have to watch, and answer a quiz about before being allowed to use FSD shows using the right scroll wheel to...
