If you prefer the stainless look, you could always do a clear gloss or matte to maintain the look whilst having the ease of cleaning. I went clear on my X.
For the CT I did ultrafit matte black. It has more of a sheeb to it which I really like.
Personally not a fan of the gloss colors on the...
Maybe if you're looking at it from the perspective of sunglasses. And by that, maybe just the cheapy non-uv ones where you're trying to dim the brightness and not squint - sure. But from a heat and UV perspective, certainly recommended and very noticeable and measurable difference.

So I did the side yesterday and noticed the same on the same side Passenger rear was tight. I thought I was going to have to shave the flare (bottom), but with a little umph I was able to get the clips to align
No change to ground clearance. A little wider though. They come out approx 5.5" from the side of the truck and just slightly wider than the OEM wheelbase. Maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch.
I've been waiting for these @Unpluggedperformance rocker panels and sliders to become generally available vs back/pre order and that happened. I always felt these had the best OEM look and construction quality I've seen. I wanted to keep something true to the existing form of the cybertruck...
