I had a 1 hour test drive last week and at the end asked if I could do a 48 hour test. They scheduled it for the weekend. It was great, had a blast. Took 5 truck guys out for demo rides, they were all pretty shocked. Took the owner of my local car service center out. He said he's now...
Just had A Cybertruck AWD demo for 48 hours. One by one took 5 of my truck driving friends for demo rides. They were all shocked by FSD. One of them kept coming back to my window after dropping him off, thanking me over and over. It was kind of funny. Reminds me of when I did a 48 hour test...
For sure. Just got home from returning the Cybertruck I had for a 48 hour demo. It was a LOT of fun. Noticed that a lot of drivers seemed a bit intimidated by the silver beast. The Tesla reps there said the same thing about the FSD reversal. They were not happy at the FSD transfer change...
Don't kid yourself. I've already talked to people who are most likely cancelling. Here's the timeline: Tesla convinced many customers to buy the full $8k FSD by 2/14. Then they quickly introduce the $59k Cybertruck with the promise that they'll be able to transfer that $8k FSD to the new...
I think the main thing that will cause people to bail on their orders is if Tesla actually goes through with disallowing FSD transfer for those who ordered before the policy change. Is that even legal? Of course those customers will get their $250 deposit back but it will leave a long lasting...
Originally FSD transfer was allowed for orders made by 3/31 for the dual motor Cybertruck. This was confirmed by all of the many Tesla advisors I spoke to. They all said it was no problem and that the transfer would take place near to delivery. Then all of a sudden the wording was changed...
Changing the FSD transfer policy after people have ordered is a very bad decision. Due to the revised/rescinded FSD transfer policy I predict that that a lot of people will take delivery of the $59k model, sell it for a small profit and keep their Tesla with life-of-vehicle FSD. It also erodes...
Rural mid Minnesnowta. Steel wheels are far more durable than aluminum. Higher profile tires are far more durable than low profile. Efficiency is generally better for the 18" but for the first time they're not showing a range difference on this model. That's probably simply a mistake...
I also ordered the new "Dual Motor AWD" Cybertruck and Tesla confirmed that my full FSD will transfer to it when delivered. They said the old and new Tesla have to be registered to the same email account.
The bathroom is in the corner. :-) I waited 11 months for my 2022 Model Y, the whole time the price was increasing. It was worth it. Ordered the $59 Cybertruck a couple days ago. I'll wait, it's worth it.
Yep, but a lot of it's due to the EV credit last year. That said they also gave me a very good trade in on the 2022 Model Y. A bonus is that it takes thousands of dollars off the sales tax (at least in this state) when you trade it in to Tesla.
I did a 1 hour demo drive last year and have another scheduled for tomorrow. Wish I could get a longer demo. I live in rural mid MN so size isn't much of an issue and stay out of Minneapolis for obvious reasons. In my area people are sane for the most part. I'm 76 and my wife is gone but...
Great information, Thanks! I didn't know that it was only a plastic piece that covered some of the mounting points on the RWD. Great news for those of us that have to have roof racks. Gotta say, I loved my 2022 Model Y and the 2026 Model Y is even better. I made the "mistake" of doing a test...
I'm Very seriously considering upgrading to the new dual motor Cybertruck from my 2026 Model Y. This build is pretty much what I wanted when I made a 2019 day one reservation (recently cancelled). Don't need the rear screen or heated rear seats or cooled front seats, prefer cloth seats. Seven...
I admit that I regularly say very nasty things about Phil Duan as I disengage FSD due to it's ignorance of the set speed limits in my area, both high and low. Other than that FSD is great. We need the Max Speed control back. Perhaps make the side to side scroll wheel movement set the profile...
Good idea. Here's the submission I made on the subject:
I'm now on FSD v14.2.1.25. It's very good but we need the max speed control back. Too often the listed speed limit is FAR different than the real world speed limit. This is especially a problem when the posted limit is 25 or 30 and FSD...
