I love v14.2 except for the elimination of maximum speed control. FSD thinks that my 30mph residential street is 55mph. I've been reporting the error for months. We definitely need the max speed control.
I've gone from seldom disengaging FSD in v13.2.9 to disengaging many times per drive in v14.1.4 due to max speed issues. The rest of v14 is better. I've been on v14.1.4 for the last ~800 miles. In my area many of the speed limits shown in FSD are often wrong (sometimes as far off as showing 25...
I've been on v14.1.4 for the last ~800 miles. In my area many of the speed limits shown in FSD are often wrong (sometimes as far off as showing 25 in a 65 mph zone or 55 in a 30mph zone) so FSD suddenly slows down massively due to the incorrect maps. Removing the max speed control is a bad...
While a trailer hitch solution might work for bikes or a cargo box it will definitely not work for canoes, kayaks, ladders, lumber, plywood sheets or anything else that's very long. A roof rack is required for that. A Model Y or Cybertruck can take a decent roof rack. Gull wing doors make...
A big problem with gull wing doors is that they preclude the use of a roof rack. No ladders, canoes, kayaks or any other long loads need apply. Not a good idea for a pickup truck. This was also a problem with the Model X which kept it from being a useable "Sports Utility Vehicle" for many people.
For those who want to keep up with what Elon ACTUALLY says without the crazy MSM spin I'd recommend Jacob Hinton's daily channel "Everything Elon Musk said today". The videos are generally about 10 minutes daily. Getting information from the horses mouth without the political spin is perhaps...
I use the right scroll wheel to raise (or sometimes lower) the maximum speed to what I want and then tap the accelerator to encourage it if necessary. It's similar on both IA3 and IA4.
I'm driving an AI3 Model Y. Sometimes FSD reacts to squirrels and rabbits, sometimes not. Sometimes it sees deer before I do but not always. It always sees people, bikes and dogs. The most interesting encounter was with a raven on the edge of the road. Upon approach the raven took off...
Congrats on your new truck! Something similar happened to me last Wednesday. A neighbor asked me to go with him to buy his new Model 3. I drive a Model Y (and love it) and had decided to update to the new version so I thought I might be able to test drive one. Instead I drove a Cybertruck...
I've been coal rolled twice in my Model Y. Didn't bother enabling Bioweapon Defense Mode and still couldn't detect anything inside the car. It was actually kinda funny. Thanks Tesla for the HEPA filters.
