I did this with mine last summer. MUCH easier to deal with. I leave them stacked on the dash most of the time. Sometimes I put one up, sometimes both. I've thought of putting magnets or something where I cut but probably not worth the bother.
I'm in N FL and we get some pretty good gully washer's up here too. I've never had an issue but I may drive a little more like the old man I am particularly if it's raining hard.
You are running the Michelin Defenders at 61psi? When I had mine put on, Discount Tire said the recommended 55psi vs OEM at 50 and I've been running them at 57. Can you help me understand your rationale for 61? I'm not questioning it at all. Just trying to understand. Figure I might get a small...
I'm in Florida with the Michelin Defender LTX Platinums with about 6.3k miles including a round trip between FL and VT over the summer. They replaced my OEM Goodyears at about 1.8k.
I don't have official sound meter data to compare but both my wife and I feel that the Defenders are both quieter...

I actually messaged them from the website after a friend said that the QR code wasn't working. They said that they had 50 Cybertrucks registered so far! Sounds like it's going to be great.
Hope some of the influencers like Chuck Cook, Bearded Tesla Guy, i1, etc. make it.
I have LTX Platinums with about 5,000 mostly highway miles on them. Although no appreciable range difference they seem smoother and quieter than the OEM Goodyears. I'll get tread depths shortly and report back. The 70k spec probably won't be met but I'm figuring the should do pretty well.

Correct. Sorry if not clear.
(There was an update a while back that said it was a new feature, but apparently it didn't activate if USB devices were connected. At least that's what seemed to be the case based on my results)
I came across a Model 3 thread discussing the same and it suggested disconnecting all usb devices including the Sentry usb and either doing the double thumb wheel reboot a couple of times or a full shut down/restart from the service menu.
I did the double thumb reboot a couple of times and it...
I originally placed 3 orders on the day of unveil. Received my first invitation in December 23 and the truck in March 24. Today I received an invitation to configure another one and when I logged in it appears that both #2 and #3 are available.
Unless I come across some other option, (i.e. sell...
I noticed mine was very warm while on a road trip when I reclined to nap. There was clearly no one in the back seat as the seats were up. Seems like a waste of energy.
I received mine today. Here are some pictures of it folded up and in the storage bag with a hat for scale and unfolded with other things for scale. It folds like many other spring steel shades. I need to practice getting into and unfolded in the truck. When in, it fits nicely and noticeably...
No, they don't.
My observation is that they are about the same sound level but maybe not as harsh of a sound. They do feel smoother to both my wife and I. No significant difference in range observed.
I own a CT with over 4,500 miles (see my previous truck stuff posts in this thread) but couldn't resist posting this fully loaded European version in Athens Greece.
