I would generally agree with you, but I wouldnāt consider my sub 2,500 number āhighā and got the email. That said, Iām certainly not as low as yours. Gāluck and hope you get the real deal soon.
About two weeks after we got it (summer of ā22) we did a road trip from SoCal to Vail, CO. Roughly 1k miles each way. Can honestly say it was the best road trip vehicle Iāve ever had for the same reasons I stated above. I was nervous about the literal and figurative charging deserts, but never...
OT, but Iāll second/third the praise for the Lightning. Had the Platinum up until my R1S came. Loved it and it was hard to part with, but we needed the 3rd row of the Rivian and some other factors came into play. Anyone disappointed with the Cybertruck really should check it out. Cabin was...
Didnāt get one - RN 1127462XX
Iām early in the Day 1 queue (if that even means anything) as I placed my deposit the moment the URL went up. I know plenty here believe RN is irrelevant, so perhaps these emails and associated RNs will tell us something.
[Edit] Email just appeared in my inbox...
Exactly my thought, but recall seeing posts over the years with people stating that Tesla didnāt necessarily stick to it with other models. I expect there will be various connected people who get to jump the line, but hoping it does largely go in the RN order.
I have a pretty low number, and intend to go top spec, but wonder what the likelihood is that theyāll stick to the RN order.
I have no reason to think they shouldnāt except for perhaps setting low expectations for myself and that this will be my first Tesla (so not a returning customer).
Live...
I don't necessarily disagree, but I think it's disingenuous to think that the legacy manufacturers won't make make manufacturing improvements over time as well, while Tesla will at some point hit diminishing returns on any optimization on their front.
It's hard for the cult of Tesla to...
IMO Tesla can continue to crush it AND the competition can be getting much fiercer at the same time.
If you deny there are substantially more solid alternatives to Tesla than even a year ago you have blinders on, but with supply chain constraints and rising EV adoption itās fair to say you can...
If you put your preorder in 48 hours after the reveal then I suspect you are relatively early and could buy the truck and sell it for at least what you paid (if not a modest profit) if you donāt like it...at least for a period of time while itās still new and people are years down the waiting...
Well there we go - if I heard them right I shouldn't/don't need to wait for my Cybertruck for V2H (even though they were talking V2G). Perhaps battery wall is in my future.
I'll proudly raise my hand that I, like many, thought it was a joke when it first rolled on stage during the live reveal. Didn't like it much at all at first...and honestly can say I thought it looked like dog$hit...but it grew on me throughout the event.
Now I can say that in addition to it...
So if V2G is a far ways off, is it plausible that a single power wall could act as a conduit of sorts to keep the full capacity of a solar system charging a plugged in Cybertruck (or other Tesla), or does the tech not work that way? I hate the thought of my solar system being neutered when the...
This times 1000. As Iām laying here reading about earthquake swarms and (very) near-term highly elevated risk for the Big One hitting us, and realizing the grid could go down for a protracted period of time rendering my solar panels useless, I really wish I had a V2G capable Cybertruck parked in...
I know I'm super late to this party, but thought I'd share that I had my R1S reservation first, followed by Cybertruck, and finally Mach E for good measure. I'm going to let my Mach E reservation go (needs to be finalized by 8/1), and candidly am not nearly as jazzed about the R1S as I used to...
