I haven't seen a truck with a plastic skid plate either. I'm pretty familiar with trucks, and SUVs set up for off roading and overlanding. Of course it is still possible that there are some trucks with plastic skid plates, cardboard skid plates or skid plates made of chalk, I haven't seen all...
Because there will be a market for it.
I just added a rear bumper made of 1/4” plate steel to my truck. If someone rear ends my truck, I won't be too worried.
I was under the impression that most electric cars had "headroom" built in to their battery management that wouldn't allow the car to charge to a true 100% of capacity or discharge to a true 0%. In effect what shows on the car display as 100% might be 96% of actual capacity and 0% displayed...
I assumed the adapters were being used only on destination type chargers like at a hotel or shopping mall, that may be offered for free or are not connected officially with Tesla. Don't know if I'm right...
I will use the frunk to put all the stuff I currently have behind the back seat of my truck (tie downs, recovery straps, socket set, small tool bag, hi Viz vest, a jacket...) and the stuff in my toolbox that I have strapped in the bed (a few more tools, shackles, 12v air compressor, wheel...
I can usually appreciate function over form, but I'm not a fan of how that looks. Maybe angular instead of curved to achieve similar function, but look more like the Cybertruck?
Tire prices will probably be similar to other tires of the same size/quality. You will only have sticker shock if you aren't familiar with truck tires. They aren't cheap!
As far as ride, the bigger the sidewall makes for a more comfortable ride, while "handling" will suffer a bit. You can...
If it's something you do regularly, I would probably place the haz mat jugs in a heavy duty plastic bin with a cover during transport. Like the $10 black and yellow ones at Costco or Home Depot. At least keeps things mostly contained. I would expect that you would normally not be sharing the...
Most full size pickup trucks have tow mirrors as an option, if they aren't already standard, no need to bolt anything to the truck.
Maybe a camera on a removable stalk for the Cybertruck...
There are a lot of options for Low Rolling Resistance tires by various manufacturers. That is what is usually recommended for the best range, as far as tires go.
Definitely not. Every trailer is of different weight, size, and aero. Towing one trailer you could see a 30% decrease in range, where another trailer could see a 70% decrease in range, way to many variables to make it "towing" range.
Also, at max tow with almost any trailer, I would guess...
