I hear talk of the frunk, but I haven't seen any pics of it. The "hood" is short, but the frunk does not need to be limited to the size of the "hood" sheet metal, it could go further back under part of the windshield/dash.
Doesn't look super useable to me, so it's definitely not a show stopper for me. The ramp angle is so steep, to be barely usable (or unusable) for the times I would really want it.
Definitely cancel your Cybertruck preorder (assuming your preorder was prior to mine)! Get a Rivian, I think you should be able to get one in a few years if you order now and they decide to produce them in greater quantities than tens of them at a time! :ROFLMAO:
I don't think most people are thinking that Tesla will be held legally to the price, but that the myriad of other reasons mentioned, make for the likelihood that price will remain the same
Price could go up 10% or more, by the time it is in volume production, and the value will still be there, considering the current trend in inflation. ?
Possible, haven't really seen it yet, usually there's a premium for "solar panel ready" or "inverter ready" , and really big premium for significant solar panels, battery capacity and inverter. My preference, is as someone who is handy enough to diy much of it.
Even if a company ends up doing...
Not sure if you've had a travel trailer before, but I have found that I much prefer cooking outside with a portable stove and a small portable table next to it (under the awning attached to the trailer if it's raining). The kitchens in most trailers are not great, stove is small, and can't...
Instead of buying some specific "EV" friendly trailer, I would much rather choose from hundreds of different conventional travel trailers and find just the right one for me, then add solar panels to the roof (not difficult or outrageously expensive), and then add a bank of lithium iron batteries...
Misleading title, they are being traded in, not taken off the road. Tesla isn't paying you market value for a car and then sending it to the recycler...
Other manufacturers (I know, not same are Tesla...), Have options/features that can be deleted at no cost. I'm sure Tesla could do it, if they desired to, without too much trouble. Not saying they will, but they could certainly figure out how to make it happen.
I'm happy to wait until 2023-2025 (given my late reservation). I already have a 3/4 ton truck and a couple BEVs, so I am not desperate for a specific vehicle. I will only be in a better financial position when my CT is ready.
Ha! I think it's full-sized, as in not a mini/micro vehicle, but looks to be more of what we would call mid size. Like a Tacoma/ Ranger/Frontier/Rivian.
