Sorry, not rail dust. The issue is that it reacts to the “stainless “ steel body and doesn’t come off easily. I have had over 40 vehicles without this problem. This is a complete failure from Tesla.
Why are CT owners OK with this? It snowed and was freezing for two weeks so I “couldn’t “ wash my CT and now it is covered with these stains and pits in the metal. I made a service appointment to see what Tesla says. I want to see it in writing. Has a class action been started yet?
Just to follow up on this post. I DMd my order number and was contacted asking if I still wanted to cancel. I replied yes to Cherry at customer service and then waited for 3 days. Still no cancellation so I felt forced to dispute their charge with my credit card company.

Same situation with me. Ordered 11/26 when they were “in stock “. Asked when they would ship and got vague answer. So now almost 3 weeks later I have requested to cancel my order. Hopefully I will get a response soon.
