I agree, make a service appointment. I've had my can trails replaced and have used the tent since then. I'll double check mine too see if it has the same.
I don't think I had an issue with this, I typically need to loosen it all the way out before attaching it to the peak but usually it locks just fine as far as I remember.

Makes sense. Haven't had many wildfires here since I got it. But in the past it was pretty good at keeping out smells like smoke. Maybe it's just time to change it. I'm at about 19 months old.
I've noticed recently that it seems like my bioweapon defense mode still lets in some smells. Today I was behind a car smoking really bad, so I instant turned on bioweapon mode and I could still smell the smoke. My truck is 19 months old, maybe the filter is just worn out? Anyone else notice this?
Easiest way is to just show them if it is reproducible. But yea seems like some service centers are less willing to investigate. You could try a different one if you have it nearby.
I don't know if I've ever used the outlet in the center console. I don't know how often that is used but guessing if not many people use it they will take it away on future builds. Like how they took the passenger lumbar support because no one was using it.
