I think I want to tint my windshield and side windows with the best sun protection. Any recommendations on shops in East Bay near Walnut Creek that are familiar with CT and what type of tint is good for it?

I can’t comment on the east bay but I have two pieces of advice as someone who has tinted a Cybertruck three times in the last year.
One. Pay attention to make sure the material used is electronic transmissive aka contains zero metal. It’s a matter of time in my opinion before you want a Starlink in your cybertruck and it’s an expensive ordeal to change the tint. Having it inside the car is MUCH nicer. I’ve done both.
And two, you may think the glass roof and rear windows are tinted enough BUT, even if you apply a very light visual tint on them, the thermal difference from tinting them is nothing short of astounding. Bite the bullet and do it. Dont cheap out. Your AC and battery/range will love you for it long after the pain of the initial purchase fades.
My two cents

I recommend Tru-Tints, in Concord, CA, for your window tinting. Kyler is the owner and he did a fantastic job on my Cybertruck. I had him tint ALL the windows and the roof.

Side note Paint Protecrion Concepts did the PPF for my Cybertruck.

They share the same shop area.

I ended up going here and Kyler did a great job as far as I can tell. I didn't tint the roof or the back window.

How do you like the tint now that you've had it for some number of months? Looking to tint my windows as well. I feel like my face is getting burned through that massive front windshield when i'm driving the car around noon.

It's great, no issues, ended up putting my FasTrack on the roof glass. Sometimes I don't need sunglasses but it just generally makes the truck cooler.

Nice to hear. I'm going to check them out next week. Did you end up also getting PPF?

Seriously though, I’ve done a ton of mods to my truck and the only one that’s absolutely non-negotiable/would immediately do again to a new truck…is the tint

No, just the tint. Only thing I'm worried about on the body are the cameras.
