Tesla has been dropping lease MF since late Nov. My lease was 14% APR equivalent MF and a new lease signed a week ago was 6% APR equivalent MF. Telsa might start incentivizing like Rivian did with 23s back in mid 2024 (they had basically 0% MF) to sell the older the previous gen.
My Nov lease...
Why would any Chevy dealer want a C8 back? Dealer lots are overflowing with them. GM/Chevy simply built too many (53K in 23 and 50K in 24)and now the normal discount is about 10-15% off except for ZR1 and Z06s (but those are discounted 5%). I will pull the trigger when Z51 trims are discounted...
Minor correction.
If you lease (with Telsa or Chase) a 2024 with the $4-6K discount on top of the $7500 commercial lease incentive that is passed through.. the 2024 will always be cheaper than the 2025.
I just sold my leased (Chase Auto) to a dealer who paid off my lease. I showed them my...
It's not life threatening but I am unable to sit in upright positions for more than 15-20mins so driving is just... painful.
There are plenty of YouTubers with referral links but if you need one here's mine - ts.la/nelson63006
Plus $1995 destination fee.
it’s about $3K cheaper than in Dec where the referral discount was $2K.
I’ve been suffering health issues and barely drive these days so I sold two of my cars. One of which was the leased CT AWD. CarMax offered $71K. I sold for a tad more than that to a dealer...
Tesla VINs on 3s and Ys were never sequential either. i.e a later VIN didn't mean it was produced after an early VIN.
If you were a Tesla 3/Y buyer back in 21/22 when they had 14 month waits (that how long it took for my first Y order). I've owned 4 different Ys so I've been through the process...
Now they are discounted $8K new... no questions asked. Existing 24s have $12K+ discounts.
GM simply built TOO many (53K in 2023 and 50K+ in 2024) for the market to absorb. The C8 market is cratering hard. I want one eventually but don't need to overpay for one today. I argue CTs are suffering...
I serious doubt the buying public will change their minds. The Lightning is a fantastic version of the F-150 and it still struggles to sell. It rides like a couch on wheels (and quiet) and Tom M. of InsideEVs loves his and keeps preaching that. The CT is easily Tesla’s best EV (quiet and smooth)...
As a non-FS owner who picked up in early Dec... they were pretty rare according to the sales advisor. I would have expected flat Q4 sales myself but given how the non-FS incentives were meh... I can see why sales were slow. Now free lifetime SC... caused a bunch of folks to buy the FS.
The...
Ford sold 109K Broncos in 2024 (I see like 6 on every drive here in FL and maybe 1 CT). They are $50K min these days and not even close to being a luxury vehicle. The market is very limited for a convertible off-roader when a $50K Telluride can do a lot more with plenty of creature comforts.
I...
Stellantis is in deep shit but they are not lying. Look at Wrangler retail sales YoY... from 220K in 2019/2020 to 150K now... and 40K are PHEV sales which means they sell 110K gas only Wranglers which is now less than Broncos. Grand Cherokees sales have collapsed too... That's why the CEO got...
Ford is learning that demand is limited. Bronco production went through the roof in 2024 and the estimate is there are 35K+ unsold Broncos on dealer lots which Ford has to incentivize to sell.
Cox is mildly biased but not an EV hating source. Automotive News.... wow they hate EVs and suck Toyota's rooster. That news source will publish everything anti-EV.
Cox auto just sticks to data and market forecasts and haven't been pushing "EV sales have collapsed" like AutoNews. Tesla doesn't...
The Lighting had a BLOWOUT Q4. I tried to buy three different Lightning Flashes (by trading in the Bronco) in Dec and each one was sold the day or the day before I arrived at the dealership. Ford dealers have rows and rows of Escapes and Broncos but almost no Lightnings because of incentives (0%...
And Enron (or Theranos) doesn't exist anymore.... your point?
Ford/Stellantis are legacy carmakers who don't need to fake numbers. Too many activist shareholders.
Then EVs all die after 2-3 years because the batteries explode and you can't drive more than 100 miles without charging... which takes 3-4 hours I've heard, right?
Ford reports retail sales.

That's not true for most carmakers. This is more false info like "all EV batteries catch on fire" BS. They have separate production numbers from sales numbers.
i.e Stellantis (Ford is the same)

Insurance used to be cheap-ish in central FL (but still higher than national average) a few years ago at around $100-130/month per vehicle for full comprehensive coverage but the past few hurricanes have jacked up rates 30-50%
Florida is a no-fault state with 25+ % uninsured drivers. If you get...
I met two retired couples at a Tesla lightshow event this weekend that bought primarily because of lifetime SC. It's perfect for retired folks who like to drive a lot and folks who like to waste time DC charging.
For me... it's useless. I'd rather fly and my weekend trips are in the fun cars...
