GEICO in Orlando - $250/month. That's with $1000 deductible and middle range $200K (?) coverage. And this is my third vehicle that I don't use for commuting lol. GEICO has always been crazy high for Teslas.
I plan to switch to something else in a month or two.
I don’t think Tesla is accepting CyberTruck as trade in. I was considering upgrading to a Beast and submitted my VIN a week or so ago and they texted back saying they were not taking CTs as trade ins.
Interesting that MotorTrend got MORE range with the Cyberbeast than the AWD.

"How far the Beast goes on a charge also impressively defies logic. It covered 229 miles in...
My opinion was probably like yours before I owned a CT.... and I've had my share of Teslas including 3 different Ys between 2021 and 2023. The CT is just so smooth and quiet and that 4-wheel steering is amazing.
I was never in love with any of the Ys... the wind/road/cabin noise was always...
Except in 3 states which tax upfront on the MSRP of the vehicle at lease signing. 2 of the states provide backend rebates/credits if you purchase the vehicle. TX is the double sales tax state.
Chase generated a buyout quote with my zipcode but I'm in no rush to purchase it immediately.
You just need to visit any SC. Cybertruck Foundation Series vehicles are stacking up.
My non-FS was the one of two on the lot on delivery and I saw maybe 30+ FSes around me and the SA mentioned Tesla probably needs to do something to sell them and their solution is probably to convert them to...
Huh? I've seen Cybertrucks in the inventory in FL for almost a month now.
I didn't want to pay the $20K early adopter fee and ordered/picked up a "poverty spec" $80K version just after Black Friday.
Advisors are useless. They didn't even know Tesla changed the rules on lease buyouts a few days after. And via text messages they said I would have to pay the entire balance of the lease if I wanted to buy it out (lol). Just read the contract.
Sentry is draining 2-3% every 8 hours here in FL and it's intentionally parked away from people and other moving cars. I'm on 2024.39 though... unsure which updated lowered drain.
Thats $15K in depreciation within months. I picked up my non FS this Monday and saw 20 FS CTs on the same lot - unsold with no future owners. Tesla most definitely has FS demand problem. SA told me non FSes arrive and are sold/delivered. They don’t stick around.
That was the rarity back in 2021. I bought a Model Y in 2021 and didn't care for "Lord Elon" and his magical fantasies of FSD. Every other owner prayed at the Church of Elon. These days.... shrug. I never understood the cult of Steve Jobs either... and yet I've owned an iPhone since 3GS.
I don't think Dry cells avoid liquid electrolyte. If that was true it would be called semi solid state or solid state. Liquid electrolyte itself is not terrible alone... it just is flexible and allows the anode and cathode to short (my understanding) to cause the thermal runaway.
Why? The $7500 tax credit in 45W is not my problem. Some captive lenders only pass through $5K or $6500 (i.e Toyota or Hyundai for lower end EVs) as cap cost reduction. Back in early 2023, about half passed zero through including Tesla. I think folks don't understand leases at all. I've seen the...
Not true at all.
That's like paying all interest (and depreciation) on a loan even if you pay it in the first month. Early lease buyouts do not pay for unearned rent charges (interest).
