That is the conundrum that all the existing manufacturers, all the existing second tier manufacturers, AND dealers have. They DON'T want us to get better vehicles that don't need even close to the maintenance they're used to us having to pay for. They have a good thing. Why would they want to...
I'm of the impression. That pay is (roughly) based on what the company can make from the labor of that employee. If you work in a business that has tight margins and doesn't make much money from the work you perform, how can you expect that business to pay you well? But, if you're making them...
I see a CT surrounded by 4 adult men + the photographer. Anywhere you park = celebrity status.
Boy am I glad there are 39,000 reservations ahead of mine. :)
WOW, awesome that you've been a member here since 2019, and you were there to capture these photos. I've had several people that expressed similar reactions to the CT, but I chalk it up to art. Not everybody can see the beauty of art. The Cybertruck is an awesome example of minimalism.
BTW...
This was something I was talking about for a while. With Gov. approved Full Self Driving, without anyone in the Cybertruck. A family could share the same vehicle.
Instead of having a vehicle for each family member. Each member could get to where they want to go, then tell the CT to go home, or...
You are totally entitled to your opinion. And it's fine that your opinion doesn't align with mine. I've seen that Tesla has designed rims like you mentioned. I personally don't like them either. I think it's dumb to have to worry about your rims hitting stuff, when you can design them to not hit...
Kinda strange for Tesla to say they're for aero when they stick out a couple of inches beyond the tirewall with a gap. Even if they saved a few miles of range. I would take them off because they're gonna get destroyed. All it takes is a curb at a drive thru fast food place.
I'm like you, I reserved the night of the reveal. The hubcaps have ALWAYS been the one thing about the Cybertruck I don't like.
I have always thought it's ridiculous to have rims or anything stick out beyond the sidewall of tires. Even more so on an off-road vehicle! When I saw the prototype...
That just confirms, Those crappy curb, rock, ANYTHING, rash getting, pieces of garbage, are not staying on my Cybertruck! I never liked them, and never will!
I like the clock idea!
I'm neither a low rider nor a lifted driver. I'm like that Eagles song, "Take it to the Limit". I'll be parking mine in our driveway as low as it will go. And take it all the way up, to go rock crawling.
BTW, that looks like about an 8" difference in heights between those 2 trucks. And I...
