The Model Y reveal was kind of a nothing burger. At the time, nobody thought the Model Y would be much more than an oversized Model 3. And now here it is Number 1 selling car in the world! It really was born with very little fan fare.

Like I said, the first one is was reserved the night of the reveal, and is under 40,000. But the second reservation is 1,168,000 further back. So someone from Tesla changed the page on the early reservation, but not the much later one. o_O When I reserved the second one, I had many options...

That was my motivation for helping my mother-in-law study and pass her driver's license renewal test this summer. She now has a license to legally drive until she's 92. Interesting tread pattern on those tires. That more street oriented tire is what I would probably go with.

That $80K work truck doesn't have a mid gate. But it apparently is pretty damn heavy because 0-60 time was 6.3 seconds in a truck with over 500hp.
