I read that this is how CT and a few other vehicles were stored before the design school event where Franz presented (and is an alma mater). Thus, nothing to do with Peterson Museum.
I appreciate the effort of the render but I don't like the design. I actually like what someone did for an unofficial Rivian R2S, if Tesla were to work off of the Y for a smaller CT:
Yes!!! From the prototypes we've seen that the Cybertruck's doors can unlatch and soft close; the only outstanding capability missing in order to match what the X currently does is the ability to electro-mechanically articulate at various angles depending on object detection.
Yup - signed it yesterday.
I didn't see it in the description of the petition but I mentioned that if need be as an addendum, all OEMs should place the charging in the left-rear corner of the vehicle as well.
Funny how some of these reviewers fail to mention that Tesla brought two 3-row SUVs to the market first and they seem to conveniently forget that.
That's another good benefit of backwards parking that I didn't realize. Every time I chime in on the "Which Side Should the Chargeport Be Located", I always say it should be on the left-rear for the sake of visibility, easier to get out of quickly in an emergency, and because it just looks nicer.
Glad it got you thinking about Aptera's dimensions. You probably still know a lot more about it than me asI just keep an eye on their progress from time to time.
When I saw the width I was shocked too. I thought it was going to not be a bit wider than a Hummer H1. :D Hopefully it'll be...
Based on the most recent guesses, CT will be slightly over 80" - hence the requirement for the triple amber lights on the front.
If width is a concern for you, don't look at Aptera's stats. ?:D
Having the production version with a 6.5' bed length gives CT additional competitive advantage since it'll be the largest pickup bed among other EV trucks. It'll also be able to fit most quads including their own if that comes to market.
I'm thinking (and hoping) the upper lightbar will be a production feature. If you look at the latest interior shots you can see that at the peak of the roofline, there is significant coverings that would suggest the light bar is up there.
I'm also hoping that the lightbar will be a moving...
The OG Cybertruck was there at Cyber Rodeo along with the other 2 prototypes. This shot was taken the morning of the event.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm liking the direction of the BAW but it wouldn't hurt to refine it further. I'm thinking maybe a sheath or blade overtop of the blade to help with aero and for stylistic purposes.
Something like this that goes up the full length of the blades:
I'm...
Having no wheel arches underneath the bed is such an underrated design feature of the Cybertruck given its size. I wonder why legacy OEMs couldn't offer this while maintaining the same footprint.
Good observation. Keep in mind that purse steer-by-wire has yet to be adopted into FMVSS and ECE - unless they've been allowed or Tesla is working on the technology anyway in absence of regulatory approval. From the video above and at the Giga Austin event it does look like the quickness of the...
I love that dually. Looks exactly like this one:
