FSD v14 “Max Speed” Workaround (Not Perfect, But Helpful in Bad Conditions)

Ok, I get it, this is for bad weather days even though FSD does recognize visibility is limited and slows, it's still not going slow enough for many drivers who want more granular control. In my old Model 3, I used to have multiple driver modes. One I called SnowDay, which changed my accel to...

South Korean creater FISH13's ASMR video of camping in snow & rain with Cybertruck

Oh my, I find glamping weird. He doesn't ever talk! Not even to his dog! He doesn't swear when his tent canopy pulled off his cantrail. And did anyone think, the cantrail was going to fall off? I did watch his energy usage and he left home with 90%, got to his parking spot with 76%, and when...

Just installed full set of KO3 tires (vs. Goodyear AT tires)

432Wh/mi at highway speeds on your Duratracs! Wow, I wish mine could do that well. I get 505Wh/mi.

Cybertruck earns Highest IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Rating -- better than any other pickup truck

My insurance went from $180/mo for my 2018 Model 3, to $75/mo for my 2025 CT, but I had to switch from LibMutual to Progressive!

Order now at 2.49% or wait for better incentives?

The difference between a $729/mo lease and the $699/mo lease is basically the difference between the $7500 Federal tax credit and the $6500 Tesla discount, $1000. $1000 over 36 months is about $30. If they keep waiting, the $6500 Tesla discount is going away, in a couple weeks.

Order now at 2.49% or wait for better incentives?

Yes, the $729/mo lease is the end-of-year incentive deal. Honestly, not sure what more people want. That's an insane offer.

    6 Foot Max Parking Garage

Lower pressures can give you more grip in the conditions; and also give you another inch in the garage.

Tesla insurance in Florida starts Dec 15 - will you switch?

Definitely get a quote, particularly if you use FSD a lot. I had Liberty Mutual for 47yrs, then my CT premium came in at $280/mo!!! I was thinking it would be around $180/mo. So, I went shopping and got $75/mo from Progressive with better coverage!

How to Evaluate Battery Health and Wh/mile Statistics?

Sure, just go to the Energy screen, then Consumption and do the math. This will give you what the BMS thinks is the current battery size. It's got rounding errors since the SOC %age is rounding to whole units.

Auto Emergency Braking saved the day (and prob. some lives, too)

Dunno, not a lawyer; but, you're in public, their license plate is visible to the public. I don't see why anyone would be entitled to privacy.

First registration renewal fee notice I was shocked [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

In my state of Maine, we pay an excise tax when registering. It's the same high rate for ICE as well as EVs. So, I paid $1920 when I registered this year, and will get the continued pleasure of paying $1400 next year, then $1080, $800, $520 etc... Maine is not a wealthy state, and yet, we get...

What features would get you to upgrade your existing Cybertruck to a newer model?

Good lists of nice-to-have features, but nothing to make me upgrade to a new truck. Okay, a pass-thru would make me think about it.

Range after a year and half

Then, the way I calculate what the BMS thinks my pack size is, is by looking at the Energy Consumption screen. Any mileage range works. Just do the calculation and I get 121.5kWh. There's obviously rounding going on, but close enough:

Range after a year and half

So, one oddity that might point to a bottom buffer can be seen in the service menu. If you go to this screen, it'll show your HV pack, and it gives you a SOC Avg. Here, it's 53.8% and yet my Model 3's SOC is showing as 47%. And, yes, there's one on my CT as well. Here it's showing 42.7% as the...

Anyone know how to tweak your work parking location for FSD?

Dunno, but a week ago, when I got v14.2 my truck drove me to the gym, and wanted to park out front. I disengaged in order to park in back, like I always do. The next day, it parked in back! It had never even tried to do that before. I was shocked. I don't know how to tell it or teach it to park...
