It took China 10 months to build their plant, with 2 more months to produce. Also, since this will be two plants, with the Cyber truck not needing a pain shop, the Cyber truck side could be completed even earlier. Overall, I believe there is plenty of time still.
I feel that if you have a 17" on the dash in front of you, which has the rear view in the center, and the side views on both sides, then I believe that we will, in a subconscious level aware of what is around us. I think the side mirrors are only instinctive, because they have already been there.
Perhaps those that want mirrors can have them, and those that don't won't. Those that pull a trailer that like mirrors can have their wide mirrors, and those that like camera's can add a wireless camera to the trailer. I think the cameras would be more useful, and less expensive.
Along similar lines, if not built in already, could the car have an API for read only information from the car, essentially as much as the information that is available on the center screen, along with real time camera feeds. That should stop people complaining about not having heads up...
I was thinking of a second Taunau cover that went over the roof, that could cover the roof while driving, and when parked, can extend down over the windshield, and if the same can be done for the side window, that would be awesome, and very bat-mobile security.
I think you just came up with a business plan, don't need an external display, since everyone's license plate is unique. I can see this for Walmart and any store auto pickup, after fsd is accepted. Awsome idea!
I liked the ability to put things in the back short term and reach over and pull it out over the side, but that's because I have a single cab truck, and can't put groceries in the back seat area. When I get gas, (for the mower), I would put it behind the cab, but I am not that lazy, I can take...
I have certainly heard of other Tesla's hitting deer. I doubt if radar looking forward will catch deer near the side of the road, and I'm sure normal camera's will not pick them up if it's dark. In the end, I want a deer prof truck, I want to know if deer are a 180 arc 100 ft or so ahead of...
Infrared or thermal camera's to help detect animals, specifically large animals like deer. If this truck if for county folk, then deer are more of a problem than traffic.
