How sensitive does it react when you let your for off? Sometimes I subconsciously yank my foot of the accelerator in anticipation to hit the brake when I see a situation unfolding, never intending to hit the brake unless needed. Is it really not hard to break that habit? It sure seems like it...
I know, I know. I'll just have to get used to it. I've never driven an electric vehicle before but I understand the throttle pedal regen thing. I just don't like the idea of my brake lights coming on at a threshold I don't totally control. I've been behind other people who constantly tap their...
I would really like an option that you could select that would limit the regen when you let off the throttle just to the point that the brake lights don't come on. I do NOT want my brake lights to come on unless I know that they are (like hitting the brake pedal). Or at least an option you can...
I'm starting to wonder if the "plaid" option will be more about battery cell tech than the motors/drivetrain. Perhaps Tesla has discovered a way to increase the maximum discharge rate of the cells without damaging them. Then they would have software that would unlock to allow this with these...
Wow, good conversation you guys! I have a question though, why wouldn't they use switched motor timing on ALL of Teslas vehicles? Is it prohibitively expensive? I mean is it as simple as a software algorithm or are there more complex components involved (like variable valve timing in an ICE)...
The Cybertruck tri-motor is BAD. If there is a "BADDER" option (Cybertruck plaid), I'm in. I'd love nothing more than Tesla pounding in the last nail in the coffin of the competition. If there is a "plaid" truck that is faster than the tri-motor, please, Tesla, let me know. I WANT IT! Hell...
I love all of the great, innovative, 1st of a kind features of the Cybertruck. However, for the sake of this contest I'd like to give two thumbs up to the men and women of Tesla. It's design is brilliant and it's different than anything else. AND, it'll be made right here in the good ol' U.S.A.
I wish that there were performance mods you could do. That's one big thing I'll miss about ICE vehicles. Bigger cam, headers, better flowing heads, turbos, ect. Perhaps Tesla or the aftermarket will come out with things like performance capacitors or rocket boosters or add on battery modules...
I wonder if you will be able to disable the front motor for hooning purposes? That brings up another point, I don't know how Teslas are, maybe someone could shed some light. Are the driven wheels directly fixed to the motors? If you tow your Cybertruck are the motors going to drag the entire...
Don't know how feasible this is (but taking into account the title of this to thread) I'd like to have my Cybertruck painted (or wrapped) in Vanta Black!
My friends think that some kind of hydraulic feet or something that could be deployed at an angle to essentially lift the Cybertruck out of a hole when you're stuck. I think that would be great.
They could put sensors on the front that would scan the surface of the road for pot holes. Then the computer would adjust the suspension to not let the tire fall into the hole.
Perhaps the front bumper unfolds "transformer style" into a snow plow. Heck, we could even use the external speaker for enhanced transformer sound effects!
Or, the tailgate could transform into a snow plow and the back seat could flip around to face the other direction. No reason you...
How about a "Tesla coil mode". It would be cool if the truck could throw lightning bolts out of its stainless exoskeleton while you are driving down the road. Or, you could shove a couple wool blankets up in the fender wells transforming the whole truck into a Van der Graaf generator. Just be...
Super capacitor upgrade options or a quad motor option to help launch the CT from 0-60 in <= 2.5 seconds. The Cybertruck IS the baddest truck for sure but this would be even MORE bad ass.
If the CT has an external speaker, why not have fun with it? We could make sound effects that are in sync with the throttle. You could make your CT sound like an Italian super car, a classic muscle car or even a Tron light cycle! How about a lion roaring when you hit the horn?!
How about a steering wheel that stows away. Then you could effectively use the big dash as your mobile office. Oh, and a flip down keyboard and mouse (it IS a Cybertruck after all...).
