I'd like clarification about, "will even float for a while". How long is a while? About as long as any other car before it goes deep six?
Wouldn't it be great if you could take your Cybertruck out on the ice and go ice fishing? If you DID happen to fall through, perhaps the Cybertruck...
I'd like to see access plugs. Tesla should put little holes in the firewall, body, underside, etc so guys like me can run wires, hoses, etc to the outside for mounting our own options (lights, hydraulics, antennas, smoke screen, missile launcher, etc). I'm getting excited just thinking about it!!!
I'm talking about this... Part of it looks stamped on the inside. If I'm not mistaken, both Elon and Sandy said stamping 30X stainless isn't going to happen.
I keep hearing how the exoskeleton is going to be 30X cold rolled stainless steel and I think that's A HUGE influence on my purchase decision of what appeals to me in the Cybertruck. However, my question is, what ISN'T going to be stainless? Are we all assuming that the internal structure is...
What is the number one question you have about Cybertruck that could influence your purchase decision depending on the answer you get from Tesla (or Musk)?
I guess we have to stand up for what we believe. If they (government regulations, third party insurers or whatever) take away my ability to have fun with my new Cybertruck, then I simply won't get one. Would YOU buy one (and pay extra for performance options) if it was locked in "chill mode"...
But I digress. I would just like the reassurance that full control will always be available if I choose, on my terms. Also I'm not a big fan of "features" that remind me of what I'm supposed to be doing unless I set it up to do so.
Let's all not forget the reason Teslas are so cool/popular. THEY ARE FUN! if they weren't fun, do you think Tesla would be where it is today? Oh, and how many people would opt for ludicrous or plaid if they new in a future software update that these modes would not be available on public roads...
Seriously, how about if the tail gate transforms into a fish cleaning table? It could even have an attachment for a hose. Being all stainless it would be perfect.
I'm heavily of the opinion that driving assistance features should be user selectable, ALWAYS! For example, lane departure warning. Can this feature be turned off? Can it be set to be off by default? What's next, "approaching speed limit" warnings?!?!
Assuming the middle seat transforms into a center console, I'd like to see a mouse pad slide out of the front of it, complete with mouse. Also, accommodations on the ceiling to mount flip down monitors would be cool. Maybe the steering wheel transforms into a keyboard.
Electroluminescent wire or "laser wire" would look cool highlighting all of the sharp angles of the body at night (unfortunately I'm sure it's not going to fly with the cops). Anybody remember the series "Automan" from the 80s?
