I think Doug is way off on his used CT resale predictions.
I would tend to agree if Tesla was pumping out 150,000 CTâs per year but the relatively low production numbers are helping to prop up resale values.
The least expensive Cybertruck on Autotrader when running a nationwide search reveals...
A very innovative aftermarket product for the CT. I like the fact that itâs easily removable by the owner. It has a lot of advantages over a wrap.
The only barrier to entry that I can see is the steep $2900 MSRP.
I agree that there is not a lot of options to lower the MSRP of the Cybertruck.
Maybe a lower cost battery pack and bring back the RWD trim at a lower price point. Tesla is not going to yank SBW, RWS or the SS exterior panels that help differentiate the Cybertruck from the competition.
Ford is shooting themselves in the foot by going the âeasyâ EREV route. Battery cell technology is moving at a rapid pace and 450 mile âreal worldâ battery packs powered by solid state battery cells may be in volume production by the time the new truck rolls into dealerships.
Smart business move on Fordâs part. When they stopped Lightning production I knew it wasnât coming back.
Unfortunately EV pickups are not selling anywhere near manufacturer expectations and that includes the Cybertruck.
We put 53k miles on our LR Model Y and our second Y, a MYP, has 31k.
Both arrived with perfectly alignment and dead straight steering wheels. No abnormal tire wear, pulling to the L/R, etc. Both came from the Fremont assembly plant.
January/February are the slowest months for new car sales. I think we are going to see some fresh incentives from Tesla in Q1, 2026.
Just like the overpriced RWD Cybertruck I predict Tesla will drop the slow selling Standard trim of the Model 3 and Y next year.
Donât let some of the responses get under your skin. You are on a Cybertruck Forum posting about your affection for your Toyota 4Runner. Just pretend youâre a duck and let the negative responses run off your feathers. This is the interweb after all.
Fully understand your loyalty to your Toyota 4Runner. The Japanese assembled 4Runner will go 300k miles with minimal repairs. If you visit HI they are the literally everywhere.
For kicks and giggles take your newly won CT to CarMax or Carvana for an appraisal. That will give you a benchmark if...
The owner said âTAâ is in the VIN indicating itâs a 2026. Did he receive a 2026 AWD model as a substitute prize?
Maybe Tesla is manufacturing the RWD model again for 2026. You never know what Tesla has up its sleeves. All of the capital RWD tooling costs have been expensed so I wouldnât be...
