    Conversion cost to drive

Its tough to project accurately since we don't know the actual efficiency of the CT yet, or the kwh pack size. Assume the tri-motor is a 200kwh pack. 200 kwh / 500miles of range = 0.4kwh per mile or 400wh/mile. Then use the electricity rates in your area to determine your costs. In my area...

What's your realistic "worst case scenario" for CT range/efficiency concerns?

Why they haven't released a 100kwh Model 3/Y is beyond me. 400+ mile range is definitely not what the majority of people need on a daily basis, but for some it is absolutely necessary. Maybe once the 4680s start hitting mass production / consistent high yield they will make the option available.

How many of u are holding or selling your tesla stock to buy a cybertruck on reservation day?

This is the way. But seriously, i might finally sell some shares if it goes over $700 on inclusion day. Not all of them... but damn you have to take profits at some point. (Non IRA)

Cybertruck Tire Size Options What Do You Choose?

Yea man I looked at the Geolanders too. Couldn't justify the cost difference but it is a nice tire. Trust me. If there is an 18" or 17" wheel option for the CT I'm all over it. My guess is that 20" rim will be the default/minimum wheel size. Won't be opposed to buying an aftermarket wheel/tire...

Cybertruck Tire Size Options What Do You Choose?

I have these on the Ram right now with 20 inch rims. They are only 32s but its a nice look. 35s are damn expensive. These were only about $155 a piece in my area.

Is the additional range from the single motor to the dual worth $10k?

Well we have information from battery day. 56% cost reduction per kwh. The question is if they will pass along 100% of the savings to the end user initially (Cybertruck initial production). My guess is probably not until 4680 production ramp and yeilds are satisfactory and across multiple...

Is the additional range from the single motor to the dual worth $10k?

Even the new Ram TRX with a supercharged 6.2L hemi with 700+ horsepower... guess what. 4.5 seconds 0-60. At minimum its 72 grand. 20 more than the dual motor CT. The ICE age is over. The dinosaurs (TRX, Raptor) just don't know it yet.

If an M3 can do this!!?

I'm just going to leave this here... Know Your Towing Terms Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) This is the weight of the vehicle plus the maximum allowable weight for occupants and cargo that the vehicle can safely handle. The GVWR is shown on the vehicle’s certification label on the...

What is your make-or-break Cybertruck feature?

    1. Electric - if its not... im not in the market for a new truck. Im not paying 90 - 100k for a new vehicle period. I want nothing to do with a hybrid system. 2. FSD - I want to be able to sit in the back and have it drive me where i want to go. I know this is a call option for the future, but...

Cybertruck in parking spots - A measured example

Gotcha. The whole parking space issue is a non starter for me. If you drive a 1\2 ton truck now, then there won't be much difference. With the air suspension you may be able to get into tighter garages where vertical clearance is limited. With that said, I realize that some here dont have...

Cybertruck in parking spots - A measured example

From what I found the Model X is: " Tesla Model Xs have a total length of 16’6” (198.3” | 503.6 cm) " CT is about 3 feet longer.

Does everyone believe FSD will be viable in the next 3 years? 5 years? 10 years?

It all comes down to the data. Once Tesla can show that it has safety data that far exceeds human capability while fully autonomous without intervention, its only a matter of time. Whamo already is getting the ball rolling regulation wise in geo fenced areas, so Tesla isn't a first mover there...

    Cybertruck vs Hummer EV

They dont want it to appeal to the mass market. Battery supply limited most likely. If they sell 20k of these a year it will be enough (~2 bil in revenue). I mean each pack is probably 200kwh. Estimate over $20k just for the battery alone and achieve 350 miles of range. Thing is a hog...

Tesla has shot at producing 500,000 vehicles this year, Musk says in memo

No PR team anymore. What were they going to ask? I guess production vs deliveries is the caveat. Either way, to potentialy meet guidance during a pandemic is unbelievable. I cant wait to see what the financials look like for Q3. I bet they made 500m+.

    Is Cybertruck disposable?

So i know this isn't a uni-body platform, however I think the repair process and techniques with probably be similar. If there is damage to a critical structural point, I don't think a repair will be possible. I bet if you have Tesla insurance they would love to bring back totaled trucks that...

Cybertrucks Will Have Larger Parking Spots at Tesla Superchargers

Been driving 1/2 ton 4 door pickups for the past 20 years. Just going from all mirror spot location and visuals to a backup camera was amazing. Really made the process of parking in tighter spots less puckering and confidence building. Not to mention hooking up a trailer. Turned that into a one...

Tesla is working on HW4.0 self-driving chip with semiconductor company TSMC with a timeline for mass production in Q4 2021

My guess is that the new chip will be around the same TDP as the current model. From what I've seen of teslas electronics is that they are very densely populated. If they had stated that the next gen chip was going to be designed for efficiency purposes rather than a 3x performance increase over...

    Cybertruck badge ideas

Badges? We don't need no stinking badges. I take the badges off my vehicles now. I would do the same with the CT. Looks so much cleaner.

    Need Opinion

Gotcha. But why do you think they are risky short term? If they gain S&P 500 inclusion, the stock could go nuts. Even if they report a small Q2 loss and then show strong profits in Q3 they could still be included. With that said. I sold some shares this week.
