Not related but why does robo taxi only have 2 doors yet is still fairly large. Are there seats in the back? I don't see the advantage with the fancy doors.
The only real reason would be frequent towing. I wouldn't take a CT on a 700 mile trip towing a big boat. Range anxiety in the remote west towing a load will be real for a while. 300 miles in a sedan is manageable.
A lot of ifs here but:
1.) If it is just bolts and figuring out how to handle the packs/seat, people will figure it out.
2.) If the bolt pattern and volts/architecture stays the same for several years of production
3.) If future packs are 4680 based with 350 whr/KG or greater and production...
Still, we can always hope for good will and that Tesla would convert this to another Tesla vehicle there by earning another sale rather than alienate a customer even if the customer is wrong.
Normally I discount future battery news as Osborne effect FUD, but if Factorials announced 450Whr/kG with Mercedes is true for 2025 mass production, and an equivalent battery makes it way to the CT, an AWD CT will get 553 miles. The CT will remain nimble and bad ass overall.
I don't...
We need to build solar until it meets 100% of the needs on the shortest and cloudiest of day of the year (region wide) Batteries to get us through the night. Nuclear and wind as a hedge.
Use all the excess generated throughout the year to desalinate water or turn fans on carbon capture...
If I recall you live in California, which you would think is more EV friendly. That sucks. I think that is because you get state incentives at purchase. So maybe when the incentives go away they will make the registration fees just cover the road maintenance. Incentives really...
The USA is more oil independant than ever. That is a fact. While Kamala Harris won't ban fracking to keep this momentum and cost/inflation down, she also knows that market forces is going to take over and she won't need to. The market will ban fracking by itself because the tipping point is...
Yes EV wear the road and need to pay their share. Right now they are heavier due to the battery and should pay for that extra weight. Maybe they will weigh the same in 5 years. I think we all need to get charged by the metric ton - KM some how. This will encourage smaller more efficient...
The mobile connector will keep your battery conditioned if plugged in. It won't charge your CT very fast though. Park whatever needs more charge inside.
negatory - the opposite. FUD won't matter. Economics is going to take over. The CT at 500 mile range and $70,000 will speak for itself. We are so close.
Hopefully administrator can view this as an investor post rather than a political rant.
After about 350 Whr/Kg @ $80 per kWhr it is game over ICE and game over hydrocarbons. We are so close and Tesla knows it.
We don't need to ban coal. With the low cost of solar and wind and now stationary...
I am surprised the reservation number question keeps popping up. I was a July 2019 reservation holder. (mid pack) and I got an invite months ago. I passed for a couple reasons. If you want as CT Foundation Series and are willing to pay that package price, I bet you could get one in a...

I have a reservation so I wanted them to succeed. I think they should qualify for a tax credit too. But I bet many of the 48000 reservations are meaningless with a $30000 Tesla that seats 4 with 350 mile range. It is also huge for a 2 seater.
When batteries get to 400 watts...
