Competitive with a high-end PPF wrap. Considering the amount of labor involved and the number of opportunities to have an "oopsie" where a panel needs to get redone...... that's a pretty good price.
There is a greater issue in the insurance world and its not related to the Cybertruck. Friends and coworkers have been complaining of 20 - 40% insurance rate increases on their homes, cars, / bundled policies. I've seen it on my personal policies.
What is likely happening, is that insurance...
Agreed. Driving myself for a few months like a plebeian was awful. The no-nag update has really been a game changing thing. Having to constantly turn the wheel for nag. And now, the car drives 20 miles to work and I don't know what to do with my hands.
I've got a 1000 mile trip this...
EV batteries and cabin both like to be around 70F for optimal performance. If you're comfortable, they're comfortable. So the heat pump will work progressively harder (consume more energy) the further you get away from that nominal temperature.
110F, or 40F off nominal for Arizona plus...
Ill 2nd that this is an early release build and you need to watch it. I had the truck ride the middle line (tires on the line) on the expressway, and when I moved to the left lane it touched the rumble strips, it wanted to be so far left.
But on a divided 4-lane 55mph road, it was perfect...
Took a quick rural drive into town. Iāve got over 100k miles on Autopilot through FSD on our Model 3 HW3. So a veteran FSD driver. Only got to drive 12.5 this last weekend on the Model 3.
Overall, very good. Had some late vehicle crossing that it didnāt emergency brake for and didnāt need...
Same, just got the notification for update. I'm no one special. Problem is, working parking lot doesn't have good enough Wifi strength. And my phone signal sucks. Gonna have to wait till I get home.
If you haven't done so, and the truck is out of the water, I suggest putting it into off road mode and then pressurizing the battery using "wade mode". 1" of water on the floor is a bad deal. That means all of the battery vents were submerged for a fairly long time.
As the battery pack...
The OEM AT tires have relatively shallow tread depth and minimal snow siping. The tire and compound is biased in design for dry traction performance,
, low rolling resistance. At the expense of tire life, wet and snow performance. The tire is part of the reason the beast can pull of a 2.6...
There is a theoretical point where going so fast, you will loose time due to the extra charging. Especially if you have to add charging stops. A Better route planner can do this math for you, by adjusting the āspeedā tab to over 100% of road speed. It also has a toggle to tell you to slow down...
Cybertruck coefficient of drag / frontal area is a blessing and a curse. It uses much more energy to go 80mph, but the flip side is if the arrival estimate starts moving towards 0%, slowing down 5mph can make a huuuuge difference.
And if your arrival % starts climbing to 10-15%.... well...
For long distance, multiple charging stop trips. You'll want to arrive at 10% or lower at the supercharger, and charge to 65%-ish. As soon as the charge rate drops under 100 kW, leave for the next charger assuming the arrival estimate is around 10% or more.
Once you get comfortable and...
Looks like the start of galvanic corrosion, which is caused by dissimilar metals. Use citrisurf 77+ and it should remove the deposited iron layer (yellow).
Barkeepers friend shouldnāt be used on stainless steel. While yes, it cleans the surface using oxalic acid, it doesnāt passivate the...
You do not get the PowerShare hardware when you pick up the truck. It will -only- be shipped to a Tesla approved installer, whom you can contact directly if there is one in your area. You can search on Teslas website.
Alternatively, and actually required for Beast orders if you configured...
Yes, I'm getting the same thing every morning. Same deal, scheduled charge to finish at 6am on a 48amp hardwired wall connector. Adding about 50 miles also daily.
Truck is charging fine, no issues with the charger or house voltage. And charger works fine with our Model 3, set to the same...
I have a short motorcycle trailer, same issue as a jet ski trailer in that itās hard to keep straight or see while backing up.
The rear wheel steering combined with steering by wire and the rear view cameras made it a breeze. Way easier than previous vehicles Iāve towed it with.
I fixed it by removing the front panel of the center console, where I found one of the clip and guide pin locations mis-assembled. I added some felt tape while it was out and itās been 4 days with zero creak. I wonāt do a video, because itās a pain to remove the panel and there is a risk I...
