I think it's a little hard to be super proactive because Tesla knows what VINS have the inverters they want to replaced.... we have no way of knowing.
I went it for the rear inverter replacement, and they did the front also because they had some Tesla notes stating that repair was going to be...
Short answer is Tesla authorized electrician had to come back out
I believe the issue was the additional hardware - SAK-60ms - which I believe limits the charger. I have 100 amp service to the house, and I believe this was a workaround to prevent the charger If the whole house had a high draw...
If you start a service appt in the app, it should come up if you were one of them that needs it. Mine is currently in the shop getting it done (VIN in the 1200s)
Mine is currently in tesla service and the wiper recall is one item on the list. Hadn't had any issues, and thought it was simply the motor being swapped
Im in CA near Silicon Valley, and I occasionally get a thumbs down. No violence to the vehicle.
To me , if they weren't getting mad at the truck, it would just be something else.
On X, follow Teslascope to get an early heads up of what's being installed. (No, I'm not assonated with Teslascope). yu, us normal peeps get it a while later.
supply and demand will always be a force, and since production will continue, those who wait will pay less. Maybe that is in 6 months when the first cybertrucks are eligible to be sold. Maybe its 12 months as production increases.
Sometimes your gut feeling is good reason to wait - you don’t...
which electrician did your install? and what does the "backup switch" look like? that a additional devisce besides the gateway?
Also in a PGE
i got an email from Tesla saying "enabled" but when i flip my main breaker off to test.... truck senses the need to start power share, but then fails...
when i test mine by turning off the main breaker, the cyberruck screen shows grid went down, and then it initiates powershare, turns on for 1/10 second, and fails. Screen in cybertruck then says retrying. Does this a few times till i give up watching.
It does get hot esp if the screen is on while charging
I also went to a case design that did not have any protection on back side of phone so it could more easily offload heat (case just wraps around sides to create an edge)
this week we had power share hardware installed (we dont have solar nor powerwall).
I asked what happens if I were to order a powerwall, and the guy said the gateways were incompatible so they would pull out the powershare gateway and put a gateway in that works with powerwall
he said...
