Not sure why the dual motor AWD has same rating as the RWD. I always thought the RWD was 7500lbs because was missing the front motor. Now I think it may be the springs.
I am no audiophile. When I originally demo drive RWD and AWD, it was still great in my ears. I don't listen to music with boosted up bass anymore, like more balanced. The AWD will be punchier. The RWD was great to me.
Also to mention the adaptive coil suspension. Coil suspension with 18s felt...
To get better idea of how the new dual motor AWD interior, wheels, suspension look like, here was my Long Range RWD:

That was for the compressor and tank. If replacing the suspension also, this list: https://epc.tesla.com/en-US/catalogs/b685e77a-0f90-4a81-a1a5-3f3417542754?autoscroll=true

I like the textile seats. Lighter grey color adds different contrast than just black vegan leather (not real leather). Neutral temperature in very hot or cold days. Durable and easier to clean. Won't wrinkle after time.
Fabric liner to me still looks premium and visually cleaner. More durable...
Yes, the new dual motor AWD model is RWD model with the added front motor and power tonneau. I liked the interior with the textile seats and fabric liner more than my new "premium" AWD.
RWD has the same ambient light around the interior as upper trims.
I like the 18s better also. No covers to...
I had the RWD model, which the dual motor is based on. The console material appears to be same except, it does not have screen in the back. It includes two USB C in the back, 1 USB C inside the console, it does not have a light inside the console.
The 18" are the same they came with my RWD. It is 18" with ~34" 285x70x18 Goodyear Wrangler HT. I liked those wheels better than the hubcaps I have now.
I think the 18" wheels and tires fit the cybertruck theme more. The tires look beefier looking, so looks like a Mars rover.
I would put in the order. It doesn't ship until June.
I would have purchased this but have just took delivery of an AWD two weeks ago after trading my RWD. I loved the RWD, only sad the tonneau was cancelled.
This dual motor AWD was what I wished they would have made, even if was $70k, would...
Most of the manual driving will have to occur during Supercharging. For me most of the time FSD has difficult time finding or parking on a spot with supercharger.
The rear light bar probably will fit but may need custom wiring. Tonneau will be extensive. Here is the parts catalog to get idea of changes needed. Parts Catalog .
I love the RWD, sadly, had to part ways and traded in for an AWD this week.
60k. Took a hit, but without a cover, it made my bed useless for me. Which is unfortunate since I love the RWD for its simplicity. Another deciding factor was parts, since the RWD was cancelled, was unsure how long replacement parts are available. I see people buy the steel wheels to put on the...
