To Chevy's credit they seem to be going to be producing a bare bones truck without 4ws, pass through and air shocks and with a smaller batter which most work trucks probably don't need. Whether they will produce these in volume and at a competitive price remains to be seen.
I woke up at 2:00 in the morning from a bad dream that I was in a Chevrolet dealership haggling over a Silverado EV. I was thoroughly confused by all the different options and prices, 4ws, air shocks, battery sizes, towing packages, pass -throughs. Then the dealer said there would be different...
Not sure if this has been talked about elsewhere, but, is there some significance to the fact that Tesla has kept the reservation list open. I think many of the others closed theirs when they got beyond what they could produce in a certain period. It seems like there is a vague precedent that...
I think Tesla will start the price low to guage demand. They don't have a marketing department or dealerships to pre guage this. They will use their order backlog as the guage. If demand is through the roof, they will gradually raise the prices. To me it makes way more sense than guessing at...
I know it’s all a joke. The VW was hilarious. I sure would like a fifth wheel option though. They are immensely safer and more maneuverable than a bumper pull. Also, easier to hitch, though I am hoping with rear cameras it will make solo hitching easier. When I used to have bumper pulls I...
OK, we've just started transitioning our gooseneck trailers to bumper pulls to work with the Cybertruck. If Ogre has just uncovered what the accessories team has been focusing on we'll need to hold off on the bumper pulls. With the rear wheel steer this could work even better. I assume the...
This looks like fun. I'll side with Glock. I took a Lightning out for a test drive on slightly snowy but also sandy streets. Having massively better weight distribution plus the full time awd is a mind-blowing improvement on ICE pick-ups. I suggest everyone go for a test drive. I think dual...
I think the FSD take rate is a big factor. I expect that if they honor the original FSD pricing, and the vast majority of people selected that option (why wouldn't you?), then Tesla has a 7K profit already baked in if lots of people get the FSD. Toyota would love a 7K margin. I would expect...
I suspect we might have to leave the cover out much of the winter unless we have covered parking. Here's hoping there is a sliding rear window to heat the box and melt the ice. (y)(y)(y)
My garage doors let out a gunshot noise when the seals release between the panels when frozen in the winter and that it with a 3 ft. gable overhang. With no cover this is going to sound like an uzi. Will probably set off the car alarm.
I am looking forward to seeing you tubers test this tonneau cover in freezing conditions with big chunks of snow and ice frozen to it and in -20 after a car wash.
I see that they chose to butt the end of the cover up to the tailgate rather than have a lip to shed water over It. That would seem...
The width of the front doors seems a key to the seat reduction. Is is just to provide a cushy armrest or does the front need a lot more side impact protection than the back?
