Regional Legality of Side Cameras vs Mirrors

If anybody is interested here is the code for BC: Mirrors 7.04 (1) Subject to subsections (3) and (4), every motor vehicle shall be equipped with an inside mirror that provides the driver with an undistorted reflected view of the highway directly to the rear of the vehicle extending to the...

In BC we require 2 mirrors. One driver's side and one rear view or 2 on the outside.

Ford Gives Dealers Six Weeks To Decide If They Want To Continue Selling EVs

VW also seems to be quietly weeding out the dealers. Our local VW dealer was on the list for ID4s last year but not now.

Ford Gives Dealers Six Weeks To Decide If They Want To Continue Selling EVs

Here in Canada, VW is doing a similar thing with pricing for the ID4. When you build your car on-line you select a dealer and get a price. That price differs between dealers. For me it was a question of whether it was worth it to drive further for pickup and service to get a better price. Having...

    Is the Big Wiper Final?

We can use it to pull cars out of ditch (and fling them), fan forest fires in the right direction, blow insects into the neighbor's yard, blow light snow off the driveway. Endless possibilities!

    WILL TESLA EVENTUALLY KILL ME?

This is sometimes called "inattention blindness". People are looking for cars so don't see motorcycles or bicycles. Expect it is worse for human drivers than AP. Here's a good article: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/01/180105082243.htm I always assume I am not seen when riding.

Dual Motor CT will be $75K. Change my mind.

First impressions are important in marketing. Tesla won't want all the negative hype on release to be about how expensive the Cybertruck is. They will want the hype to be about how great it is. I think they will start with a reasonable price, test demand then start slowly raising. They are in...

Etching/Tattoo For Your Cybertruck. Would you?

Here is an article describing easy etching for stainless steel using ferric chloride. I can see this being a thing with permanent tattoos being so popular. I guess I would have to start with a Canadian Flag :D. Anybody else got some ideas? I guess you would have to accustom yourself to...

Wouldn't it be great to have some new, real CT news?

As I've said in another post, we need a whole new reveal night. I still feel the excitement from that night.

Starlink v2 and T-Mobile to offer global coverage to existing mobiles!

OMG. This is the first place I heard this. This is site is better than CNN. This is amazing for backcountry safety in wild Canada in the Cybertruck. I'll have to get the 500 mile version now!

Dual Motor CT will be $75K. Change my mind.

I feel like we need to have another Cybertruck reveal night. Looking at the wide disparity of predictions of what the truck is going to be and how much it it going to cost it's like the first reveal never really happened. About the only thing that everyone seems to agree on is that it will still...

Dual Motor CT will be $75K. Change my mind.

Has a staggered pricing on pre-orders ever been done? With 1.5 mill orders it may be fair. One price for first 100k then 5% more for each 100k tier after. Don't hate me. It's just an idea. Any guess which tier I'm in. ?

Dual Motor CT will be $75K. Change my mind.

My guess is that the price will depend on a balance between Elon's conscience/feelings regarding the launch prices and secondly demand. I don't think they are big at doing consumer research so they won't have a good handle on demand until they start selling vehicles with the new specs and price...

Was the Tri-motor at Launch Price a massively better deal than the Dual?

Another thought. My end of life 210 mile range assumption becomes a 500 mile range again for Bush driving at 40 mph.

Was the Tri-motor at Launch Price a massively better deal than the Dual?

With Starlink they can keep doing OTA updates in deepest darkest Congo ha ha.

Was the Tri-motor at Launch Price a massively better deal than the Dual?

I have always been interested in tough vehicles with long lives for sustainability purposes. I lived in Venezuela for a while where they still use 70s land cruisers for ride in the bed buses because they are the only vehicle tough enough for the roads and the same for range rovers in Africa...
