  1. CyberTent (Basecamp) reviews / impressions?

I probably won’t buy one but can think of plenty of reasons why one would want one over a tent on the ground: 1) Much more comfortable mattress. This is reason 1, 2, 3, 4. 2) Level surface (I wonder if they will have a mode like the Rivian to self level). 3) Outlets adjacent to tent hopefully...
  2. Removing / venting rear window to cool/heat vault for DIY camp mode?

Yeah, if breezer comes out with one for CT that would likely be my first significant upgrade. Not having an opening rear window was a big design miss (or liability cave if they removed it because of the tonneau. Unless they don’t want people cranking on the heat or AC trying to condition the...
  3. CYBERTRUCK REARVIEW MIRROR DELETE

I will want to remove mine but then where will I hang my work parking garage hang tag
  4. 875 Cybertrucks delivered to customers so far (as of 2/27/24) says Tulsa OK rep

FWIW, an employee at the King of Prussia showroom told me with utmost confidence about a month ago that 20 of them had arrived for delivery in PA that day and that there were only 50 orders for FS in PA and that regular non-FS orders would start any day. All of those statements have proven...
  5. My CyberBeast Foundation Series Delivery! - 02/26/24

Agreed, mostly, with a nit to pick. In fact, both vehicles have the same GVWR, just that the beast carries around more of it when otherwise empty. So they would need the same brakes since the brakes are spec'd for the fully loaded truck. Beast accelerates faster but it's speed and weight (I.e...
  6. First Cybertruck at Manhiem wholesale auction

Could the buyer sell it to their business for exactly what they paid and then the business re-sells it to the auction house? In that case, the maximum damages is 50k. They could just put a reserve on it for 50k + auction fees over their cost and they are guaranteed not to lose out.
  7. HomeLink and the Cybertruck: "GARAGE DOOR OPENER: NOT INSTALLED" in settings

How hard would it be for one of the lucky early CT owners to buy a M3/Y homelink and try to install it in CT? If it works we know it works. Or at least can one look in the general area where the module would be installed and see if there is a connector of the correct size? I assume they have...
  8. parking into parking spots with cars in spots on both sides - anybody master this yet?

Is this your first pickup truck? If so, get used to it. If you ever wondered why so many pickups back into parking spaces now you know. Parking nose in can be challenging (though it should get easier if/when 10 degrees is active on the rear wheel steering) because the truck is so long. You...
  9. MMM MMMM MMMMM! Over 140 Cybertrucks spotted at Giga Texas 2/23/24

Since they are only running one shift still, I think, if he could fly over first thing in the morning and if the lot is empty we will know it’s daily production. If the lot is full, we will know they are still making 30-50 a day and are just waiting for some part or other. I really hope it’s the...
  10. 25% 3M Ceramic IR tint is a decent match to factory rear window tint

That CT does look great. I am new to tinting and saw that in PA, front windows have to be 70% VLT. Is it safe to assume the 30% you used on that CT would be more tint than allowed in PA? I was surprised to look it up and see the windshield and front side windows are the same 70% in PA when like...
  11. Bed divider fitment issue

One other thought: hopefully someone comes up with a rubber bed mat cut to size and with an easy way to still open storage bin. A rubber mat largely obviates the need for a divider as it helps a ton with things sliding around. It also allows water intrusion a path to run down the side and under...
  12. Introducing Cybertruck Accessories by TWRAPS

I agree that a snap on plastic cover for the rear screen would be ideal.
  13. Great information about PowerShare installation companies, pricing & configurations

It's pretty clear that EV charging equipment and battery backup gateway equipment qualifies for the credit. So install costs should for sure qualify. Of course, the installers know that so likely will just add $1k to the bill and pocket that credit.

I looked at that but the MagSafe doesn't hold the phone securely enough once you start hitting some bumps. Even on the road a higher truck has more sway than a car when hitting bumps (haven't driven CT yet but in every truck I've had it's been the case). The first bump and your phone will be...
  15. Wade Mode Test! Shows How Deep Cybertruck Can Drive in Water 😱

The first three wade tests and I was yawning but that last one seemed legit deep. Sealing the back side of those switches seems like not a heavy lift and clearly it’s just the switch as the app still worked. Pretty sweet. If I had been the guy standing in the water filming I’d be yelling at the...
  16. Introducing Cybertruck Accessories by TWRAPS

There are stick on MagSafe mounts but I’m pretty confident they won’t hold a phone. Even on road when hitting potholes or speed bumps in a truck causes MagSafe to fail. At least in my experience.
  17. Introducing Cybertruck Accessories by TWRAPS

One other thing that I haven’t been able to find yet is a phone holder that will actually work on an off road vehicle. Sometimes it’s still helpful to have the phone screen where you can see it and the magsafe mounts often sold for Tesla won’t fly on CT. Can you create a sturdy 20 mm mounting...
  18. Introducing Cybertruck Accessories by TWRAPS

Yup, mine are less than half that size but seem like they make more fur (but less drool). I was thinking something that attaches to the underside of the rear seat so when you flip the seat up it has a flap that flips up to protect the rear seat back and then a flap that comes forward to keep the...
  19. 1000 Miles in the Midwest: Road Trip Data

I wonder if the lack of CCS at launch is due to 350 kW. Maybe the current adapter needs to be beefed up to support that current and/or Tesla doesn’t want people to be able to charge faster at a CCS charger than a supercharger and so will slow play the CCS adapter until there’s some 350 kW...
