Battery charging in cold weather question

This is good information. I'm going on a family vacation and will be parking my truck outside at my son's house for about a week. I plan on plugging the mobile charger into the truck on a 50ft extension cord. Hopefully with Colorado temps it will be sufficient. Thought about airport ev...

Does Powerwall 3 support powershare now with no need for gateway?

I have no doubt it will be q1 at the latest. I choose to believe. You could drop it down to 50%. The other static pressure setting looks like it drops it to 85 or 90.

Does Powerwall 3 support powershare now with no need for gateway?

I have no doubt it will be q1 at the latest. I do HVAC and those units can be extremely tricky as they cram in so much control. I know you mention your external static pressure settings being set low. That would be for the air handler. You can also reduce the capacity of the condenser as...

Does Powerwall 3 support powershare now with no need for gateway?

Probably a bit big for 800 sqft, but they are both variable speed inverter and dc motor. Shouldn't short cycle. If it was single speed, then yes, it would definitely short cycle. Good pick.

Best "All Around" Tires for CT

Yeah. I was told either a nationwide backorder or it was discontinued. I can't recall which. I called so many places and got those responses. I played around with Grok. Seems like our tire size is not that popular and so rollout of their new tire in our size just hasn't happened yet. They have...

Best "All Around" Tires for CT

I found one website. Summitracing.com it looked like they said they would ship by December 22nd. Figure more places will have them in stock around then. Hoping the weather holds since they were able to patch my tire last night.

Best "All Around" Tires for CT

Question for you: Have you been able to find these tires anywhere in 285/65R20? I've called half a dozen places and nobody has any and could give no ETA. I called Pirelli and they were no help, but the person I talked to didn't seem interested in helping either so I am going to try again later.

Summon feature question for those of you who have other Teslas

I sometimes take my wife's juniper to work just to keep the safety score up. I always park at the far end of the lot just because I like the walk. Apparently where I park is out of the 250 foot range so it won't work to try and summon it. One time I tried it at Buc-ees and it went straight...

Let's all let Tesla know we want option to set FSD max speed on the scroll wheel made available.

What about a compromise? An option to correct the actual speed limit? For example, tapping the Speed Limit icon on the screen and menu shows common speed limits for the user to select. This would provide intentional feedback and if X amount of drivers consistently report the same speed limit...

    A brighter Reverse light

That's cool. I notice in the product pics it shows the hitch cover off. Wonder if you can put it back on with this installed. Also, the description says you will have the trailer emblem on the screen. I'd be more tempted if there was a way to not have the trailer on the screen. Just to keep...

Let's all let Tesla know we want option to set FSD max speed on the scroll wheel made available.

Again with your "fanboi" crap. The whole idea of fsd supervised is to work towards unsupervised and illuminate driver input altogether. Hence the incremental updates and the option to provide feedback for disengagements. If I'm on the highway, for example, and everyone is going 10 or 15 over...

If I get pulled over, then it's my fault. It's 'supervised,' I get that. You should just go back to your Lightning.

Let's all let Tesla know we want option to set FSD max speed on the scroll wheel made available.

I'm glad they got rid of the scroll speed settings. One less thing for me to worry about. There are a few county roads I take to work and they don't have signs. Old fsd I'd have to scroll up to 55 and then nudge it because it thinks those roads are 35. Now, I just keep it in Mad Max and it...

Utah-based dad with Tesla experience – available to help relocate a Cybertruck east over Christmas break (father-son trip)

Cool request and doesn't hurt to ask. I agree though, turo might be your best bet. The CT makes a great road trip vehicle. I hope you find something that works out though!

    Less control on FSD v14

Got my update last week I think and have about 1,000 miles on it so far. Been reading through these posts and it seems like a lot of people have differing opinions on this update. For me, I love it. It is so nice to click on FSD while parked in the garage and have it take me the 30 miles to...

Best "All Around" Tires for CT

I would imagine the prospect of lowering the tire pressure for off-road used might increase the risk of the foam delaminating from the tire.

Best "All Around" Tires for CT

I did a couple image searches and found no pics with the "PNCS" mark which indicates the foam inserts are present. Had Grok do a deep think session and he came up with this: "The Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT Elect tires do not have PNCS (Pirelli Noise Cancelling System) technology. While they...

    Cleaning routines you recommend?

Only used a car wash once in 20k miles after an off-road excursion. Brushless without issue. Otherwise just ammonia free Sprayway and half a dozen micro fibers. Once in a great while, if it's really bad, a generic car wash soap with a hand sponge then wipe with microfiber and Sprayway to clean...
