Guessing my PCS will need replaced too. Just got the charging alert and only seeing 24A on my cybertruck awd. Tried with multiple chargers.

my iphone stops working altogether and wont let me use it until it cools down if i set it on the charger for more than 20 minutes. its worse than not charging the phone, and outright prevents phone calls.
don't let service dismiss the concerns - this is a defect in the wireless charging...
no punctures or foam issues, but i did have a slow leak (2-3 psi per week) at the bead. having a tire shop remove and reinstall fixed it. probably started from my offroading.
The shocker hitch is great. I have used it for a few years starting with my model X. It is a completely different experience towing, and you don't feel anything behind you. No jolts, bumps, jerks when the trailer goes over road imperfections. I find it also improves stability when road...
Love seeing all the Airstreams in here! Such a great match for the Cybertruck. Here's a pic of my Basecamp 20x when I camped in Kisatchie National Forest. Last summer I found the A/C takes about 1% of the Cybertruck battery per hour, which works perfectly for a weekend. I just hit the...
IMO - Range extender would likely will be a pack swap. LG is manufacturing 4680's for tesla in Arizona, and that plant is going to be ready in the second half of 2025. LG has plans for 46x120 cells, which is a great way to use the extra vertical space in the pack. With the 50% volume increase...
TLDR - this is crash structure and the truck is breaking at the intended location and at the intended strength.
Anecdotally, I've towed a buddy's 9k lbs trailer that maxed out my tongue weight for a few hundred miles of i20 with plenty of bumps and potholes. Also did a handful of full pulls...
I had my non-tesla solar disconnected so I could make use of powershare. Before I go hooking this back up, does anyone know what FW versions I want to have? Heard some rumors in another thread gateway 25.x was needed.
A2Z makes one that fits cybertruck. I've used it a few times at electrify america stations on a road trip and it worked great - got 300+ kw speeds. Gets me access to more pull-thru stations when I'm towing my airstream.
Awesome stuff! Glad to hear there are more pull-throughs coming along - it's hit or miss in the south and I've gotten quick at unhitching.
How are you finding the trailer range estimates where you enter the heigh/width/length/weight? the truck seems to way overestimate and thinks I'm going to...
In the south everyone has a pickup so I get someone rolling coal weekly. Having driven an EV for 6 years, it stopped bothering me and I get a chuckle out of their antics now.
I've found the range estimates not quite accurate with the trip planner in the car.
You can compute this yourself:
123kwh battery / 144 miles = 854 wh/mi
If you charge to 100% then as long as you stay under 854 wh/mi you'll make it. Take it up to 65mph and see what your efficiency is after a...
Yep, they got this one preapproved. Their concern was that the superhorn would be too loud to hear the usual pedestrian warning noises since its the same speaker.
I wonder if this relies on the car computer for audio? Someone try holding down both scroll wheels to reboot and see if you loose...
Here are some details on the superhorn. New cybertrucks are not equipped with a traditional vehicle horn and instead use the pedestrian warning speaker to produce a horn sound. This update disables the dedicated horn and uses the pedestrian speaker instead, like newer cybertrucks do.
Curious...
Setting is awesome. It keeps the front motor always active and splits torque. Kinda sounds like the Tesla Semi with a low rumble when accelerating or decelerating - louder than normal. I use it every time it rains as you can never have too much traction.
Pardon my armchair engineering, but has anyone felt Tesla might be sandbagging their tow specs after reading Wes's tweet? I've seen more than one youtuber express disappointment that it's not a definitive tongue limit in all cases. But after looking at pictures on google of vans and SUV's...
