Same here powerwalls and solar, see the option of powershare in the application but when I try to go off grid and use the truck battery I see a message home is not connected even though I selected an option of powershare backup.

I got a similar message that the PowerShare was not connected, but the grid went down and PowerShare kicked in. I had power for about six hours on Mar 2nd.

So to be clear, have they now enabled our share for those who have the new powershare switch, gateway…
Or for those with previous generations of Tesla Solar + Powerwall(s) and wall chargers?
As discussed in the link
As follows

For Customers With Powerwall
If your home is equipped with Powerwall and home charging, you do not require any additional equipment. Powershare Home Backup functionality with Powerwall is expected to be available later in 2025 through an over-the-air update.
Our preferred home charging solution is the Wall Connector or the Universal Wall Connector on a 240 V circuit. The home charging system must be backed up by Powerwall to enable Home Backup.

Where are you seeing the PowerShare option in the app?

Also have Powerwall 3 + Tesla Solar and I don’t see it (running the latest Tesla iOS app too: 4.42).

I had my non-tesla solar disconnected so I could make use of powershare. Before I go hooking this back up, does anyone know what FW versions I want to have? Heard some rumors in another thread gateway 25.x was needed.

* I have solar panels
* I have a Cybertruck
* I have PowerShare installed and it worked during a power outage

So do I now have the ability to charge my truck and power my home during an outage even though I don’t have a powerwall or similar battery installed, which wasn’t an option before?

Trying to understand what they are really saying…

At the Tesla link it would seem so based on the following:

Home Backup
With Powershare, your Cybertruck can automatically provide backup power to your home with up to 11.5 kW of power for up to three days.1 When paired with solar panels or Solar Roof, you can extend your backup duration by powering your home and charging your Tesla vehicle through an outage. Powershare Home Backup can detect an outage and start providing power within one minute without noise, emissions or maintenance.

depends on what type of system you have
Everyone else: there are still quite a few bugs in this next step. No need to rush forward in my professional opinion. Id wait a bit and thats with me having been tinkering around with this for ~ 10 weeks.

Under Cybertruck controls menu when you slide up from the bottom you can see few options like: cybertent, power outlets, powershare and discharge limit.
Ahhh, there it is!!

Honestly, I don’t think I knew you could swipe up on that card lol.

Haha same here. I found out about it just a few days ago. Member on the forum mentioned. Hopefully it will work for you. For now my house still shows as disconnected.

yeah, I now see the white horizontal line at the top of the card, indicating you can swipe / pull it up.

Yep, it shows as disconnected for me too. I’m not expecting it to show connected until the PW software update in Q3….but I still enabled it.

So how do we know it’s expected in q3? I also have powerwalls and therefore refraining from installing equipment that will become redundant.
