Tire compounds today are far more puncture resistant than they were in years past. But they still happen.
I had a flat on my Cybertruck a year ago; and a flat on my Model 3 the year before that (and I promise I'm not a drug smuggler!
Carrying a plug kit and compressor; or schlepping...
Visually, all looks well with the charge port door. No uneven gap or anything like that. My impression is that it simply is a too-tight sample of the plastic charge port itself. Probably just a slightly out-of-spec manufacturing lot. Doubtful if many, since I haven't heard of anyone else...
Definitely not the charger handle. Works fine in the Model 3 (and the Model Y loaner I once had). And the problem with the Cybertruck exists at every Supercharger I've ever been to.
The reason I ask, @Cyber AI and @SlegMD, is that the as-delivered charge port on my Cybertruck takes a great deal of force to insert and remove. My normal procedure is to use both hands (to try and make sure the charge handle remains centered and straight), place my right hip behind my right...
Another hunter/fisherman here, who spends a lot of time in remote areas. Much as I love the Cybertruck, it's clear it was designed by folks with an urban/interstate worldview.
DC Fast Charging - or any kind of charging, for that matter - is incredibly barren across vast swaths of North...
Woke up early this morning to watch the Las Vegas Formula One replay (I couldn't hang for the late start last night).
On Lap 7, while watching Verstappen lead Russell around the circuit, decided to check the Tesla app on my phone.
2025.38.9.5 (FSD v14.2) must have gone wide, because there it...
I woke up at O'Dark Thirty this morning to the notification. Installing now.
I don't use FSD all that often simply because I enjoy driving the truck. But I've anticipated this release more than any prior simply out of curiosity about how much improvement 14.x brings.
"We're going to end up with complete autonomy, and I think we will have complete autonomy in approximately two years." --Elon, Dec 2015
"I consider autonomous driving to be a basically solved problem. ... We're less than two years away from complete autonomy. Regulators however will take at...
Has there ever been any credible evidence that failing to update to a fresh software version when prompted by Tesla... would in any way delay one subsequently receiving a major update like FSD 14.x?
If so, if anyone has proof of such behavior, I wish they would just post that evidence. Until...
2025.32.8 did not introduce a new version of FSD. That remains v13.2.9, as it has been since the spring. You're running the same version of FSD you always have.
But, yeah, FSD remains a work in progress. Version 14 reportedly is a major improvement. We'll see in a few weeks.
We're soon coming up on the two-year anniversary since the production release of the Cybertruck. After four long years of waiting, during which the world tilted sideways, that iconic event held millions of us in its thrall.
That reveal held an almost rapturous joy in what the Cybertruck had...
Roger that, @mongo. I haven't been bothered by the dust enough to bother trying any of those things. Living where I do, a dirty, dusty vehicle is kinda just part of the deal!
Thanks for the pics, @Cybergirl. And glad to hear of the favorable outcome!
I live on a 1/4-mile dirt/gravel driveway and much of the time there's a cloud of dust following me up and back. Even with the tonneau clover closed, my bed is perpetually covered in a very fine coating of dust.
I...
Orange peaks in the energy graph are also strongly correlated with when the secondary motor(s) light up.
Whenever those secondary motor(s) join the party energy consumption jumps substantially (especially on the Beast). And they trigger with surprisingly little effort.
If you monitor the...
Chill mode softens and elongates throttle response, but it does not directly influence efficiency.
Most drivers are not very efficient, even when they think they are driving gently.
The Energy App is your friend when it comes to understanding your energy consumption. Among other things, it...
Unless one thinks a declining share of ICE drivers should foot the entire bill, the money for road construction/maintenance has to come from somewhere.
'Course, if the funding falls short, and that smooth tarmac at the end of our driveway falls into disrepair, the Cybertruck has pretty nice...
You could go into Service Mode and see what error codes are being triggered.
Beyond that, and assuming you're seeing the error on multiple devices, sounds like something your local Service Center will need to take a look at.
