Cybertruck vault sub-trunk fully opened! + Tonneau cover and tailgate lowering in action!

Agreed. My ridgeline tonneau has weather sealing and still the damn thing floods! I park under a tree and in the spring and fall, the bed gets full of tree droppings which inevitably always end up in the sealing groove of the bed storage. I forget about it until 4 months after the fact and...

Cybertruck vault sub-trunk fully opened! + Tonneau cover and tailgate lowering in action!

Its not mission critical, but it is a huge bonus. I would be over the moon with a 220 outlet in the CT. I live in the city and rent a small detached garage down the block for my workspace/motorcycle storage. That building has 15 garages. All 15 garages' electrical for both lighting and...

Cybertruck vault sub-trunk fully opened! + Tonneau cover and tailgate lowering in action!

He says "My silverado reservation is for my father!" Tesla battery tech and charging blow everything else out of the water. So this guy won't be switching away from CT unless the rich guy speculations come true. I'm holding onto my belief they will be as announced, or close enough to that...

Power liftgate and power ramp? Yay or nay?

Never thought about a powered tailgate before, and don't really need it. But its there, so... cool. I'll take it. And use it. But powered tailgate ramp... no thanks. Unnecessary weight and complexity that we don't need. Like most have said, the Russian doll ramp is something that will sit...

Clarification.. "My hope is 20a outlet MINIMUM." Ideal would be able to plug a welder into the truck!

Hahahaha. Nothing will get me to not buy a CT. Welcome to the forum. Get used to speculation.

Cybertruck vault sub-trunk fully opened! + Tonneau cover and tailgate lowering in action!

Nothing is confirmed. I'm just speculating. I will gladly eat my own words for a few of these to be in the production version. specifically the tailgate ramp and upper light bar.

Cybertruck Power Liftgate Patent Published -- operated by smart phone or wireless key fob

It was never a step. The cutout on the sides of the tailgate are a physical necessity for having the tailgate close flush mount with the sides, given the side walls and tailgate are so chunky, one or both of them has to give up some space where they meet in order for flush corners on the...

Cybertruck vault sub-trunk fully opened! + Tonneau cover and tailgate lowering in action!

We are forgetting that the bed also needs a compressed air connection for power tools as promised by Elon. This measly power box door shown is too small for a standard 15a two outlet and a compressor connection. Seems like they are going to have to resolve and revise that between this version...

Cybertruck vault sub-trunk fully opened! + Tonneau cover and tailgate lowering in action!

I bet this also makes it easy for them to element proof the tonneau cubby hole when it's open for transporting gravel and loose materials. I'm thinking the end of the tonneau cover seals the cubby hole in the retracted position. So whether it's closed or fully open, the passage is blocked from...

Franz breaks out Cybertruck for Cars And Coffee @ Petersen! Driving & closeup! Tonneau!

Yeah I've been figuring that would never be provided default. I am guessing some sort of wooden diy wheel chock will have to be made, that fills the gap of that indented front wall to support the chock that rests perpendicular to the top edge of the front wall. Effectively making the bed too...

You can install the tow strap hooks at any point in the track of the bed.. so you can have complete control of where and how you strap things down. Instead of just relying on the static ones at the front and back of the bed.

Looks like there is something comparable to T track below the tonneau at the top of the inner bed walls below the sails.

    Hertz Renting?

One of my neighbors was just telling me they have rented a model 3 a few times from hertz. I believe they told me that they provide LVL1 cable and maybe even some adapter connectors for other types of chargers. Don't quote me on the adapters, but Im pretty positive they said the LVL 1 charging...

    New updated Cybertruck order page!

Valid point. I think this would have been a pre-config tip off prior to the variant shake up, when what we reserved lined up with what was being produced. But now that there is a quad motor option that no one has actually reserved in the system, most likely they will consider everyones...

    Tesla Semi/CT VIN Investigations

On slightly further research, I see that Tesla switched the Model X/Y to the 7SA prefix at that time of addition to the database. https://driveteslacanada.ca/news/tesla-updates-vin-manufacturer-code-7sa-model-x-y/ I think they most likely create a new VIN Prefix for the tesla truck at GVWR...
