Too bad there isn't a way for someone like me, with my 2024 roof that is starlink friendly to trade roofs with someone who needs/wants starlink to work in their truck. I'd do it in a heartbeat even if there was some installation fee. I'd ALMOST just go buy a replacement roof if I got one that...
That's a fair and rational decision. I wouldn't consider it a fun decision. Nor is an investment a guaranty. Nothing wrong with preparing for the future but since I'm where I want to be in that regard, I'm not going to wait for an investment to pay off in the future when this one pays off...
Thanks. I was under the impression the other soft-touch materials were different as well.
Even if it's just the dash, that's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of dash!
Why is this discussion only about the Beast's speed? Isn't there an interior difference. I love the feel of the FS Beast's interior with its Alcantara type materials. I believe the AWD has the cheaper feeling interior. Not that it's bad, just that it is not as good.
I've never noticed a...
I found the same thing. I didn't check on ANR but I'm sure it's gone now. However, I did notice that my speed no longer stays consistent. Before this update, Fluffy would plug along at 62-64 and now, Fluffy goes between 60 and 74.
I wish there was a braking equivalent to toeing the throttle...
I have a similar situation but in my case, the road is listed as 25mph on the screen. There are no signs on the road. Turning off the 55mph road onto this road (it's 45 which means 60), I found the only way to make my CT go the right speed is to put it in Hurry and toe into the throttle a...
I have a simple "gummy worm" repair kit, a "sidewall repair" kit that'll probably last just long enough to get to a tire shop, and a Dewalt tire inflator.
I've used the gummys once to help someone else with a flat tire. I've had two flats since 1995. One in a parking lot and one on the way...
For TACC, you do it from the Autopilot menu where you enable autopilot. Just disable it for the trip. Bingo, TACC.
Disabling trailer mode was something I did NOT do on purpose. I suppose when I selected "Towing", I must have hit a "disable towing mode" somewhere.
Sorry can't be more specific.
I've seen that a couple times in person. It's from when the trailer had more weight behind the axle and started whipping side to side... Put my wife straight into the guardrail with all the kids on board. I was leading the convoy pulling a large camper (we were moving). I looked up, saw the...
Yes. It was blue for the return trip. Seeing this, I must have had towing mode disabled for the trip there. The trailer isn't very heavy and doesn't have brakes.
IIRC, the motors in the CT were built with straight-cut teeth to retain that high tech whine because it is more "truck like" than the whisper quiet car motors.
Hey, you just reminded me of something. I towed my small trailer to the dump this weekend. I used FSD all the way there without thinking about it. Then, on the way back, FSD wouldn't not engage. My wife asked if it was because we were in towing mode. I don't think so. But, prior to the...
