Ahh, I never did the long term shareholder deal. I obviously want my CT soon, but realistically wouldn't mind waiting until Aug/Sep. I ordered the grey interior so I'm thinking that will take a bit longer.
The main reason I'm the most excited about receiving my Cybetruck is because NOTHING is normal about it. Almost everything is "weird" or different from other cars. This makes it a novel driving experience.
Shape - Weird
Steer by wire - Weird
Four wheel steering - Weird
Stainless steel - Weird...
Considering the castings with machined bosses and laser cut panels, there isn't a lot of chance for significant fitment issues. People give Elon Musk a hard time for his "micron precision" requirement, but this method literally allows for it.
I don't think the edges need to be rolled, just filed to ensure there are no burrs. The 1.4mm panels shouldn't cut anything if grazed by skin if the edge is broken with a filing or sanding process.
I've been following Tesla for almost 14 years and have owned several. IMO, the Cybertruck's defect / problems seem quite limited...impressively so. There will always be some issues that weren't caught in development.
People blow things out of proportion like the accelerator pedal.

I have two CT reservations (for myself and my dad). So far I've only received an invite for one (invited 12/26/23, ordered 5/8/2024).
From a business sense, it seems like they would go through the whole list once and then start asking people with multiple reservations to configure a Foundation...
I've seen a CT a few times in person up close (at a showroom) and the edges didn't seem sharp to me at all. Maybe there are occasional burrs?
If there is a potential for them to be sharp, I'm surprised that Tesla hasn't introduced a new process step to quickly sand/file the edge. Seems like it...
Sentry Mode is an environmental disaster of a feature. Tesla should pull the feature from the fleet until they can get the power draw under 10W or so. The environmental impact of Sentry Mode is THOUSANDS OF TONS of CO2/year!!
I'm planning on tinting my CT. It would probably be wise to do the same for my other two cars. I almost never drive at night so tinting isn't a huge problem.
I don't want to tint my CT windshield because that looks like a total nightmare for the installer and it might cause water damage or...
