yeah that seems like it could be possible. Some people want to talk to someone when they buy something too. The older crowd. So Teslas way probably hurts sales a little especially when the vehicle costs 80k.
The Cybertruck has a problem that people have a pre-existing hate for it. Probably due to the negative news coverage or social media that they look at. They follow their peers and when everyone they know is saying it sucks they just follow along.
I have heard groups of people agreeing with one...
some people want a car now not later. the tesla way is nice but you need to wait longer
carvana is the same they sell for around 70-80k all the time because they promise delivery in less than a week.
When it gets closer the app will update with more info. We are still a long ways from June so I would just forget about it for now. They will eventually assign a VIN then you know something is happening.
It just doesn't seem like this is a normal pricing situation. They may have just been trying to move the leftover RWD parts. Dropping to 60k is very low. We will see if this trim sticks around long term.
I don't see why they would change the premium AWD or Cyberbeast prices. At least not now.
People buying the 60k truck weren't buyers for the other ones anyways. What good does that do. They have a ton of orders for the 60k truck cause it was a deal. Lowering the other ones would just piss off...
I kind of felt like the RWD was a ploy to make the AWD more attractive. Make it a little less but not too much lower so people would choose AWD where the profit was. But now with this I have no idea what they are doing. This will take lots of sales from the 80k AWD.
I wonder if Ford discontinuing the Lightning had anything to do with this too. Tesla has a good chance to have the best selling EV truck now. Taking the lead in a small race but at least it would be #1 where they have been with the cars.
