  1. Living in a cybertruck

I guess it depends on several factors, like can the front seats recline all the way back and connect with the rear seats? I’d imagine it would be more comfortable sleeping in the cabin vs. the vault because of climate control, ability to drive away, etc. If there’s no midgate or pass-through...
  2. Extreme closeups of Cybertruck prototype (with edge on shots of many body panels) -- video + photos

Some deformation on the plastic side panel. Cool angle, but I’d hate to get caught on those sharp edges getting in and out of the vault. Ouch. ?
  3. Video: Sun Visor Down and Cybertruck's Brushed/Satin Stainless vs. Polished Mirror Stainless Steel

The fact that Tesla has yet to reveal the price of a vehicle that’s supposedly releasing this year is worrisome. Surely they’ve already determined the price at this point, especially if it’s on the verge of production. If the vehicle were affordable why not release the price and send your...
  4. Cybertruck reservation order number -- how to tell your place in line

Honestly they should just cancel these people’s reservations and refund them their $100. In the future Tesla should add to their fine print that if you attempt to sell your place in line then you don’t get your deposit back and you’re subject to anti-scalping laws. Maybe put a 1-year clause in...
  5. How would you like to see the Franz hammer/ball test rectified?

I think the only reason the window broke in the original test was because Franz beat the door with a sledgehammer first. They showed photos of him throwing the steel balls earlier in the day and they were bouncing off. They also showed a video of the stainless steel taking a 9mm round. The...
  6. Fit / finish / gaps 👍 on this (Master Candidate?) Cybertruck spotted today

It’s been resolved on the S, 3, X, and Y, but the CT is a whole new beast. They’ll correct it eventually, but the initial ramp might be quite gappy. Some people won’t mind, but the stainless steel panels really make the gaps stand out.
  7. Report: Cybertruck official factory wrap service launches w/in 6 months of first deliveries, at $8-12k price

All very good points. Also, I thought wraps would be cheaper than paint. I mean these are supposed to be top-of-the-line, self-healing, urethane wraps and all, but they’re 4X-6X as expensive as the most expensive paint option ($2,000)!!! We’re getting into FSD territory now.
  8. Tesla PPF wrap (color & clear) now available! Cybertruck wrapping a certainty?? 🤔

Cybertruck rendered in black wrap: I’m not gonna lie, that black CT looks stealth as hell. Replace the front light bar with the one from Knight Rider and you’ve got KITT reborn.
  9. Fit / finish / gaps 👍 on this (Master Candidate?) Cybertruck spotted today

It seems like it’s an issue with every new model they release. There are greater instances of it at the beginning of the production ramp. Then if people complain they try to fix it.
  10. Cybertruck water capabilities? River crossing?

In an effort to get the truck out “on time” I think they’ve been cutting potential features. Elon and co. are probably saying to themselves, how do we get costs down; is X something that every customer wants, needs, and is willing to pay for; can we provide this feature as an accessory instead...
  11. Pedestrian deaths in the US highest rate in 40 years

One of the many reasons that pedestrian fatalities have increased is that vehicles keep getting bigger and bigger, especially pickup trucks. If you’re hit by a sedan or a smaller car it’ll clip and probably break your legs. Your chance of survival is better than getting hit by a truck or SUV...
  12. Let's talk ramp inside tailgate...

I don’t think the ramp will be built-in, which would have been ideal, but there will definitely be an accessory. If it’s an accessory it’s probably lighter and more cost effective to produce. The same might be true of the air compressor.
  13. Motherlode of Cybertrucks pics from Mexico hotel -- frunkgating, offroad gear, bed & interior peek!

It’s the Cyberbench! Looks like it’ll fit two adults shoulder-to-shoulder. Better than the anemic frunks that Hyundai/Kai EVs have, but not as massive as the Ford F-150 Lightning’s. The edge of that tailgate looks sharp as hell. I’d hate to run my leg into that thing trying to get into the bed...
  14. Two Cybertrucks seen LEAVING New Zealand Winter Testing!

Because Merica! Oh wait, that doesn’t apply here.
  15. Two Cybertrucks seen LEAVING New Zealand Winter Testing!

I don’t think they’re doing a 6-seater. They shrunk the CyberTruck by 5%, so it would fit in a standard US garage. The reduction in width negates a 3rd seat in the front. There’s also safety considerations. For example, no room for a 3rd airbag because that’s where the touchscreen goes. You...
