As much as Iām opposed to this nickel-and-dime mentality I get it from a business standpoint and if it can get me a cheaper Tesla Iām all for it. Iāve lived without heated seats and wipers for decades. You canāt miss what youāve never had.
I wish there were thigh bolsters on the front seats. Then the front seats could fold back to connect to the base of the rear seats to form a bed of sorts. Then you would have access to the HVAC in the cabin. Given that the vault is supposedly barely over 6 feet in length, I personally will not...
I agree. This is not how Tesla operates. The CT event will be like the 4680 Model Y event. Vehicles at the event will go to employees. And just like the 4680 Model Y, the CT will be offered to reservation holders when it ramps up and becomes more widely available.
Thereās no indication that...
Maybe the midgate can only be activated if the tonneau cover is closed? I was hopeful for a midgate, because at 6 feet tall I will not be able to lie down in the vault. Iām doubt thereās a midgate though, because thatās where the tonneau cover lives when itās open.
After doing some rough math and admitting that Teslaās trip advisor is not the most accurate thing in the world, YouTuber Tailosive predicts that the EPA will rate the range of at least one of the CTs at just over 300 miles. Itās a guess, but might be for the lower-end model? His argument was if...
Thatās true, but Iād actually use it if it had a function and/or didnāt reflect onto the windshield. I think this is why most ambient lighting is under the dash. Lucky for us Tesla iterates almost constantly and listens to their customers (sometimes).
As for the functionality it could totally...
I think in Elonās mind it isnāt a concern because of FSD, but yeah, itās been a problem for decades. My 2009 Honda Fit has a raked windshield and the A pillar obstructs my view even with a sail window, which the CT also has.
Hell no (to social media notifications), just notifications on when to turn, blindspot, exceeding speed limit by X amount, accident ahead, etc. Useful driving stuff.
Itās possible, but they have sooooooo many CT1s to build first. Look at how long it took them to update the Model 3, which came out in 2017 (6 years ago). At that rate the CT2 will come out in 2030.
Yeah, thatās a cool idea. VW has something like that for GPS directions, I think. It flashes blue from center to left or center to right when you need to turn.
Yeah, as much as it looks cool at first I think the novelty will wear off pretty fast. One of the early reviewers of the refreshed Model 3 also said the LED ambient light reflects off of the windshield, which they said was annoying.
People have talked about this in the past alluding to shades of blue or something like that. Apparently altering the stainless in any way could potentially weaken it, so not worth it. A wrap is your best bet for alternative colors, which is why Tesla is experimenting with them.
Very interesting. If true CT frunk is about half the size of F-150 Lightning. Bed length is barely over 6 feet, so I canāt lie down in the vault. Outlets are nice in the rear. No air compressor in sight. No front outlets that we know of. Hurry up November 30th!
Video or it didnāt happen. I want to see this thing splitting a mud pit in two with a rack and a light bar on the roof and an American flag waving in the background.
Franz is such a nice guy. This gives you a window into how it will be for early CT owners. Donāt expect to move around without people gawking at you.
Exactly. This is the way they have always done it. Why would they suddenly change? Itās a matter of logistics: ramping production according to demand after they release the pricing and specs.
