I believe it’s optional (the official Tesla backup switch). It gets installed inline behind the meter and satisfies the grid disconnect requirement. It took awhile for PGE to approve this. If you don’t get it then you’ll need a subpanel. This is my current understanding from my installer.

Wow adhesive? Thats meant to help stabilize the declared weight on the mounts which I believe is 200 each? Even if welded etc seems a bit flimsy but I’m not the CT engineer.
Is there any reason why the rear driver side mounting points should be missing? I did get the recall done for the trim replacement. Are the bolts readily removable and not more securely attached to the frame?
