  1. First time in the rain today.

I am not going off of anecdotes or opinion, just the chemistry behind the discoloration. BKF is fine but requires a proper passivation after using nitric or citric acid. A rinse with soap and water followed by a citric acid treatment for contaminant removal and passivation comes across as less...
  2. First time in the rain today.

It’s chemistry. Oxalic acid causes the golden hue people have been complaining about through exposure to iron, moisture, and sunlight. Unlike other options, it’s toxic. It needs to be neutralized after application or entirely removed to prevent discoloration and because of that is pointless as...
  3. First time in the rain today.

To add to this, even the foaming BKF is counterproductive to use. It's Oxalic Acid, all it does is cause the steel to turn a golden/brown hue.
  4. Got wrap done this week picked up today and left fender camera not working

  6. Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

Yeah, I ordered at the end of May and zero option to put a deposit down.
  7. Rust spots after 1 year

BKF is Oxalic Acid, what you want to use is Citric Acid such as Citrisurf 77. Use Citric Acid after you remove rust spots, this will passivate the steel.
  8. What happened to my Horn update?

The reason is that there is no way of knowing (on the software side), which CTs have a physical horn and which do not. There's no hardware communicating whether or not the horn is installed. They could in theory provide access via software using RN/VIN numbers but doesn't seem like they care...
  9. New Low End CT has much better range but is that mainly wheels and Tires?

Rolling resistance is the key here. Weight, Wheel Weight, Tires, Tire Weight... etc. You'd most likely be pretty close in a AWD or CB with the same LR RWD tires and wheels. This can be seen on the MYP and M3P with plenty of people getting similar Wh/mi to the LR models using the LR 18"...
  10. How to transport 3 bikes?

Here's a good solution. https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/cybertruck-mtb-e-mtb-roof-bike-rack-with-tailgate-closed-and-no-rear-camera-interference-up-to-4-bikes.33879/ The OEM crossbars do have T-slots Directly from shop.tesla.com...
  11. Goodyear DuraTrac Tire now available on Tesla Shop site for $485

“Grooves” for the aero-cover should not matter, they are there just for aesthetics. These are not the best all-season option if you’re looking for efficiency or noise reduction. The stock tires will be slightly better, though they won’t last as long. If you want an all-season tire, the...
  12. Discoloration

Citrisurf 77 Plus is designed to remove existing rust and passivate, Citrisurf 77 is just for passivation.
  13. Discoloration

The "fix" for this discoloration is passivation. Citrisurf 77 is what is recommended by Tesla. Instead of repeating what's been said, here's a great, easy to understand, explanation by RickJ19Zeta8...

  15. Does Cybertruck have adaptive matrix headlights?

CT is not mentioned in their supported vehicles section but Lars confirmed it has the hardware. https://www.notateslaapp.com/news/1902/tesla-to-add-support-for-matrix-headlights-for-existing-vehicles-in-upcoming-software-update
  16. Cybertruck will be the last Tesla to use stainless steel exoskeleton

I understand what it is but that doesn't line up with the patent for the steel used for the Cybertruck. https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/detail.jsf?docId=WO2023023083 This would be much closer to 301 and even has the same (or 1% less) chromium content as 301. 301 is also used for cold...
