Does Cybertruck have adaptive matrix headlights?

Maybe someone should try to do a custom light show and see if they can add text like the other cars.

Lol, I just edited my post above to show a picture of my model three doing it.

I do think the difference is that it’s lost its value as a party trick. Even on the other vehicles it doesn’t flash Tesla every time the lights flash on and off only at specific points. So, Tesla, not programming this into a CT specific light show really is meaningless. The meaning for features are beam shaping and adaptive turning which are already documented to be included. It just seems that Tesla hasn’t expressly used the nomenclature “matrix” to refer to the lights in the CT.

Either way, we’ll know with certitude soon enough. And again since I’m 100% sure they’re matrix I don’t feel compelled to check.

Hope so. But he started with flat out “no.” Totally inconsistent with all other available information but still.

You don’t think that Wes was referring to the hardware? What I am confused about is that Lars said that active matrix headlights are coming to the U.S. fleet, starting with the new Model Y, but the new Model Y seems to have headlights like the Cybertruck.

Neither of those articles said anything about the new Model Y/Cybertruck headlight similarity.

Having matrix headlights and being able to use them are two separate things. Tesla can install them but until they got the go ahead from the NHTSA they couldn’t be used as such. So the question is whether the CT headlights are active matrix and not whether they are currently active (which we know they are not).

Adaptive matrix headlights are active on highland model 3.
