I don't think so.
They are still offering free supercharging for Model S and X but only for the first owner.
Model 3 and Y don't come with free supercharging and considering the price of the CT, It should be the same.
Usually charge happens overnight so at home you don't need much power.
My advice is to think in kW and not in miles charged. Miles are not reliable, they depend on how and where you drive.
I always used % battery indicator in my Model S instead of distance. Nav will tell you if you need to...
This is an interesting question.
I think that Tesla thought about it.
Like for Model S and X, that have aluminum body, Tesla service centers will be trained to cope with this steel.
I don't think that changing battery is to be considered an option.
For 2 reasons:
Firstly, If something goes wrong, Tesla batteries are split in smaller sections, so you can only change the damaged part.
Second, Tesla batteries are very reliable now. There's people with more than 400.000mi with...
These cameras are for Autopilot and can be used for mirrors as well. Other Tesla Models have them integrated in the side turn lights without any problem.
It seems that in the real world the led strip is much less powerful that in the unveil (to comply street rules). Or possibly, it can be trimmed as needed.
Every Tesla (built after November 2017) already has all the cameras needed for screens instead of rear-view mirrors. The Audi e-tron has this system as option. Tesla can easily implement it.
Usually when Tesla unveils products is conservative.
2 years in electric cars technology are very longtime. Possibly, they can improve efficiency and battery.
But at the end, 300mi given its size at that price, CT is awesome.
I think that the Cybertruck is attracting more than pure truck guys. The closed bed can be used as a normal SUV, but very different,
I’ve never thought about a truck, but I ordered a Cybertruck. I don’t really need that bed, but it’s just fine. The one at the unveil was not the production...
I think that the calculation in the video are correct but very optimistic.
The Cybertruck should need more Wh/mi than a Model X. Its drag coefficient is worse.
considering to use it as a generator, the 500mi version can easily have the same battery as the Roadster such as 200kWh.
100kWh are...
