Elon is more of a 'spirit of the law' kind of guy. He also doesn't like to wait for stupid approvals. I just hope it doesn't prevent the CT from being sold in Canada!
Obviously a bigger battery takes longer to charge. But I'm talking about super chargers here, not destination charging. Big battery means you are more likely to make your trip WITHOUT using a super charger. If range was 1 mile, you'd need a charger on every corner. If range was 1000 miles...
Wow... Yeah no thanks. Its all fine and good to make a bunch of big promises about delivering fancy new EVs, but Tesla are the only ones who understood the charging problem early on.
I think busy chargers is also an indication that batteries need to be bigger. I look forward to the day...
I am not sold on rear steering... Seems like something I would never use except as a party trick. I hope they don't increase the price.
A deployable drone would be amazing...
Don't underestimate the need for a mature charging network. Tesla stands alone in this critical feature. Have a look at charger reviews from the competition - they generally suck.
*UPDATE*
I called my local Tesla shop and spoke with a sales associate. I was told that Tesla does not prevent Canadians from going to the USA to purchase. He insisted it was not a problem, there would be no issues from Tesla if I wanted to do this. He did suggest that after importing I...
I don't know why anyone would buy a non-Tesla EV. Nobody else has a track record for battery longevity. When the battery dies the vehicle is trash. Imagine buying a vehicle that is only good for 5 years due to battery degradation/faults.
Tasla has a strong track record, but you can still...
I hope the armor glass is more resistant to abrasion and cracks, but even if it isn't I'll be satisfied knowing I have a more robust window to deflect hard objects. Two stories to drive the point home:
First story - Several years ago near my home town, a piece of a truck's brake broke off on...
I'm familiar with construction and fully realize the monumental task of building this factory. I chose to stay positive and believe they will start pumping out a few CTs by October/November.
Lol that is pretty much how I justify it in my mind. I'm actually hoping the trimotor will include a few other luxuries as well, such as rear LCD for the kids.
A big battery is mandatory for towing. Its also madatory for life in Canada where distances are vast, charging network is limited, and cold weather kills range.
I wish Tesla would offer the big battery on dual or single motor variants. I don't need a Plaid Mode CT, but I do need a big battery.
