I can't imagine how the CT isn't a huge part of defining Tesla's future. Even if it is an oddity... A successful oddity is one of the most defining things a company can do to strengthen a brand. The only way the CT doesn't define Tesla's future is if its a flop.
Looks great! the range improvement is impressive. These range numbers are approaching the useful threshold for Canada (where cold, distance, and limited charging make EVs unappealing)
I think they are still making test vehicles destined for destruction. I doubt any of these will be sold to employees - they aren't at that point yet. soon I think.
Funny how people flock to the same conclusion after the first. Moving to NACS is the right move, but waiting until everybody else has made the move looks weak.
I predict this will setback Cybertruck production ramp by 20% for the first year. And since this is completely unprovable, I will claim perfection in my ability to predict such things.
I'll take this as confirmation of my theory: The so-called "EV Revolution" is actually just a Tesla revolution. Other auto-makers are producing "me too" products with limited success.
Cold weather is brutal for EVs. I would love to see a cold weather package that includes extra insulation for the battery pack and cabin. I'm sure people will laugh, but some kind of gas powered heating system would actually be great for preserving range. Chemical fuels are way more energy...
