Yeah these are a bit suspect, but I think I still love the design, just needs a couple tweaks. I bought one with my $700 powershare voucher, and I'm betting others have as well hence they sold out.
The main issue with these is that it's tough to align the pins with the holes in the L track...
PG&E rates are between 34 to 72 cents per kWh depending on the rate schedule, season, and time of day. Natural gas rates are equally ridiculous. Solar is basically essential, but even then they are screwing us over by essentially eliminating net equivalent metering. They now buy it at a few...
If you're remotely DIY inclined, you should be able to install a wall charger or UWC in a couple of hours with about $150 in home depot gear. More time and money if it has a complex or long run, sure, but a thousand is ridiculous.
Why not switch banks? It's not my problem sure, and not trying to be pushy or anything, I just don't understand why anyone would use Wells Fargo or something similar when there are dozens of credit unions offering 100% no fees banking (ATM, transfers, notary services, cashier's checks, bill...
It's solving a nonexistent problem though. I can instantly ACH transfer $100k+ for free on my phone through my credit union. If that's not a thing for people, recommend they get a decent bank instead of giving another party their password.
Ok, we're gonna need some more details! So is Powershare actually active? As in, if you pull the main breaker you're up on the CT? We've heard it won't be enabled until an OTA in June. This is the first I've seen of that icon showing.
Wait, they are quoting you for powershare install but you already have powerwalls??? Stop! You need nothing but a wall charger. In fact, they say any 240v charge will work, meaning the mobile Connector that comes with the truck should do the job.
Didn't they send you the email with the $700...
You are all set since you have powerwalls and a wall charger. A lot of conflicting info from others on this thread, but myself and many others have already received confirmation of this (and a $700 voucher) via email from tesla.
Unclear if it will ever support load shifting, but I'm hoping...
FYI one insta-crate fits perfectly in there with room on both sides for additional storage. Keeps everything from rolling around and when you get home just haul everything in in the crate. Ideal for Costco runs as you can skip the boxing or bagging. I wish it fit two but the frunk narrows down...
Yeah it's basically spraying blue kool-aid all over the truck on every squirt. I find myself staring through bug guts rather that hit that little button.
Was $1286 for me.
Also I've heard that not only is it more, but it is based on original purchase price not current value so it doesn't reduce over the years. Can anyone confirm? And if so does that mean the VLF isn't tax deductible like other vehicles?
I hate to say it, but the only real value of power share is in conjunction with a powerwall. I can't see paying 5k plus and not even getting load shifting or seamless transition to backup. I have 3 PWs, but I would have only needed one if I had the CT at the time of install, and would have saved...
