All I could find was the testing from 2017, where despite the advantages, they said the negatives were too numerous, and they denied Tesla's request.
Yes, they are looking into it more, but is there newer information you can point us to, please?
Is there a line? That isn't really how Tesla has operated in the past, and personally I don't think that is how it will work for Cybertruck, either.
They'll build one configuration, and the first one's to put there money down get one of that configuration. No options or choices. Then they...
The thing is, I can't actually buy the Cybertruck yet. So the money was sitting there and I couldn't use it to buy stuff. So early this year I put the price of a Cybertruck into Tesla stock. I got in kind of late, but my stock has more than tripled. So, free Cybertruck.
And that answers the...
In addition to the Polaris, there is the Intimidator XD4 (base about $15,000).
The Polaris and Intimidator are both 48 volt lead acid only for now. Polaris had a Li-Ion model but dropped it.
If an M3 will satisfy you, no question. Get it now.
If you still want a Cybertruck in a year or two, get it (trade?).
No one outside of Tesla has driven a Cybertruck, so that point of view is not available.
This has turned into a privacy discussion, rather than a quality of insurance plan.
My worry is not privacy, but that they will use the information to deny claims after an accident. If you are doing 80 in a 65 zone (normal freeway traffic in Southern California) will the insurers say "our...
I think that no matter what it comes with, within two years something 'new & improved' will be offered.
That's just the way it is. As you have experienced.
MCU3 is a real possibility by then.
Although replaced as VW CEO he is still in charge of all other brands it looks loke. So no big deal? Or might this affect VW's EV plans?
Herbert Diess at VW
Federal approval isn't what you need to worry about causing delays. Tesla just can't make it work yet.
Not picking on Tesla, NO one can make it work yet.
And four years to complete implementation is way optimistic.
And no on any warranty beyond normal.
1) If you don't want to gamble, do...
Also, it isn't just the Cybertrucks. There are over 200 Tesla stores worldwide (about 100 in US). To reach any kind of acceptable saturation rate how many test rides must be offered? We're talking 5,000 test rides just for reservation holders PER STORE!
How many NEW employees would it take...
Also, since they can clearly sell every one they make in the beginning, it is unlikely they will prioritize making any for their own inventory. I expect thousands will be sold before the first test drives are offered.
But the iPhone directly competed with Nokia and Motorola products. The Cybertruck does not compete with anything Ford produces.
Tesla may be considered direct competition to Ford; the Cybertruck not so much.
Conclusion: clickbait. :)
